it was actually announced well before stormgate. even had a playable alpha before stormgate. stormgate just stole all of its hype because they have more of the "creators of SC2" on their team and got more funding. Now that stormgate is out and people seem to be finding it disappointing maybe the attention can come back on immortal. I definitley think its the better game so far

First new RTS that I’m intrigued by the units and designs. It feels like a different world I’m discovering. I’m hesitant to play it because it looks really complicated and I spent so much of my life learning everything about brood war and then sc2 I feel like I’m too set in my ways now

We tried to make game much easier to learn than SC, so you should give it a shot :D The hardest change is layout as we changed most things like groups to 'space' rather than 'ctrl', but after couple games you can get really used to it (or you can change bind in game).

@@ManusPotax Are you one of the devs? I Tried some and like it (still a lot to take in) Hard to find enough time these days to play pvp games, but based off what I played, I would definately fork over $30-40 for a campaign single player.

I tried to play it too, and enjoyed it quite a bit. I think the fun oart is also in everybody being new. Like in SC2 everything is already so well researched that playing feels like studying chess openings. Here we have something fresh, where everybody is learning & discovering new things. TLDR: from another SC2 player who doesn't have time for "serious" 1v1 anymore, I think we should give it a shot

This game is honestly fantastic. It's like it learned all the lessons from Battle Aces and storm gate while keeping the core identify of StarCraft. This is just such a breath of fresh air after Stormgates disappointing state.

I like this more than Stormgate, as it has some new ideas to offer and I absolutely love the design of the spinning siege unit xD But I do wish we could see more RTS doing really different things, like Planetary Annihilation. I am still so bummed that Human Resources never got off the ground =(

Such tedious and many almost same things we have seen a lot for decades... If you can only make a poor man version of SC2, then don't get me in. That is not deserved. What I want is at least innovation that could distinguish it between old rts titles.
