Song saved my life in high school I started thinking twice about hanging with my primos who laughed because I got a job at Walmart. Two are dead and one is still locked up in HV "The devil grows inside the hearts of the selfish and wicked".

Brooo I had chills go through my body when he said “they killed his son just to get to him at the funeral”. I had a family friend Tito who went through this same exact thing. He was an ex MS member who had left on bad terms. To be specific he was given a hit contract that he fulfilled but when he saw a little girl at the house he couldn’t shoot her so he packed up and left. 5-10years later (I was a kid so I forget how long he was on the run) he’s relocated and dating a friend of my mothers and his grown kids even immigrated here also. His son is still loosely affiliated and he goes on a job and is killed. Tito hears about this and instantly knows they are coming for him. One day after his sons death he’s shopping and sees an old acquaintance who stops to say “hello” he’s trying on boots and tells Tito that he’s looking for new black boots. That he wants them to be nice bc he will be attending another funeral soon. Then he asks Tito if he understands. Basically telling Tito I’ll be wearing new black boots to your funeral. Tito says he understands and he quickly leaves the store with my moms friend. A few weeks later he shot himself in the head in a park here in town bc he was tired of running and knew if he was alive they would keep coming after him, his kids, and his loved ones. Shit was rough. I had completely forgotten until I listened to this. I hope he’s at peace now.

@@kenny_flo just like how ppl know any stories. I was there to witness it first hand and the little I didn’t witness I’ve heard from his gf our family friend. I’m 30 now and this all happened when I was 13 so it’s been quite awhile. Tito wasn’t like a nice guy I mean he was obviously a paid killer but he couldn’t kill an innocent and later in life tried to redeem himself. He sacrificed himself for his family and loved ones. But is that noble or just what a man is supposed to do? Or both? His death left me with many more questions than answers.

The story told in Dance with the Devil is not that wild when you tour around the world and get exposed to realities that are nothing but soul breaking. That shit is happening right now, I assure you, in a lot of places. Long ago a 16-17 yo from my school stabbed his father 24 times in the back, killing him in the process, while he was r*ping him as a vengeance of abusing him and his mother for years and years. Then he walked into the closest police station and confessed what he had done. The woman took her own life a couple of weeks later. The boy followed her days after. Shit still wakes me up sometimes, and it happened like 15 years ago.

Dancing with the devil deserves a Grammy. This man saved a lot of lost ignorant souls and for that he deserves his flowers for educating and opening our minds to the chess board. One love OG

I’ll never forget the night I was so dead broke & angry at myself I woke up in the middle of a rainy night @ 3am & found myself outside a house in all black ready to go in. I must have sat in that car for 30 minutes trying to talk myself out of it. Hoping to find some reason not go back to my old ways, I couldnt find one…then this song came on, I broke down & never went back. Thank you technique & to the friend that showed me this song when we were in middle school. Times have changed since then and I am doing much better now. I went back to college shortly after & graduated, eventually starting my own business. Never give up, a dance with the devil could last you forever

I’ll never forget my uncle showing me Immortal Technique it was 2007 or 2008 and he pops in this burned disc that said “Immortal Technique” on it and the first song that played was this one, I was only 11 😂 but I understood every fuckin word and that shit was powerful made me feel fucked up because I grew up in a bad neighborhood and my parents finally took us out and to hear this story was like a reminder like this is why we left “the hood”

My little brother was in class at the masjid with his fellow classmates a few months ago and the imam came in to class that day and Wanted to teach them about how truly vile this world can be he would warn the boys that they were going to get a lesson about life and how much trouble they can get into if they decide to veer off the righteous path. This is the song he played for them without censorship, in all of its original lyrics. Some of them cried, others could come to grips with the harsh reality, afterwards he pointed up and said when all of you reach the Janna aka heaven God will call you not by your paternal name but that you will have to answer to your maternal name, because the closest to heaven we have on this earth is our mothers. ❤
