I'm going to try to put this in perspective. Think of Latin America as Africa, but instead of having African tribes, we have Native American tribes (aztecs, myans, incas, etc) - by the way, the aztecs didn't call themselves the aztecs, but that's a whole different topic - anyway, the spaniards, came to Latin America and conquered those tribes and their lands and used their people as slaves and their women for pleasure. Over the years, through the rape and through the mixing, the people there starting looking like the modern latinos you know today. And because the Spaniards speak Spanish (duh), all their colonies, territories and salves were taught Spanish and converted be catholic. That's why Latin America speaks Spanish. The same way USA speaks English because it was ruled by England. Makes sense? Moreover, the Spaniards, like any other major power at the time, used African slaves. Which is why there are also Afro-latinos (e.g. Yasiel Puig, Zoe zaldaña, Celia cruz, kalima, Romeo santos, etc) Being latiino or Hispanic, doesn't mean your skin will be a certain color. Latino/Hispanic isn't a race. It's an ethnicity. That's why you can be black, and still be Latino. You can be white, and still be Latino. Be Asian and still be Latino, etc etc. As far as the George lopez show goes, the vast majority of latinos will have a high percentage of European blood in us, being that Spain is a part of Europe. I myself, took a DNA test. My mom is from Mexico, and I was born in USA. To most people, I've been told I don't "look Mexican". I'm too white, too pale. I look Armenian or white. But as stated before, you can be white and still be Latino. I too, have a pretty high European % at 43% But I'm also 51% Native American as well as 4% African. The remaining 2% is 1% Asian and 1% Pacific Islander

you should do some research on Afro-Mexicans. There are many people living in Mexico today that don't even know that many of their ancestors were descended from slaves of sub-Saharan Africa. Most of them live in the communities of the Costa Chica of Oaxaca and Guerrero, Veracruz and in some cities in northern Mexico, also did you know that the second President of Mexico, Vicente Guerrero was of Afro-Mestizo and Filipino descent. You should also read up on Gaspar Yanga, founder of the first free African township in the Americas, in 1609 located in Veracruz, Mexico. Black peoples have made many contributions to the cultures of central and south America that most educational institutions do not teach about and most people will never learn unless you are willing to do the research. If you want to learn more about the influence Africans have made to "Latin America" you should check out the 3 part series call "Black in Latin America" with Lewis Gates JR.

If i won the Lottery, I would first make sure that my kid is financially secure. Then I would like to open up at least 1 or so community centers/ homeless shelter around cities need it, you know a place where it doesn't matter who you are where you from, just go there relax if you want, there will also be classes to help can get the GED, help homeless people get the information they need and help them to start a job. And different classes you know to help with social problems, financial problems. Pretty much the goal is to get people off the street and not stop there but also help them get the tools that they need to be on their own.

To educate you on Latinos real quick we are basically a combination of every euro country that crossed the atlantic to get to the americas; (including the irish, spanish, british, french and many more) as well as the indigenous people of the americas. When mexico gained its independence it fought the United States right after they lost a-lot of territory. Soon after a Black president thats right Mexico had the first black president on the western hemisphere, and he made slavery illegal about 40 yrs before the U.S many slaves went to mexico because they were backed by the mexican government thats when a good population of black people integrated into the mexican and other souther countries as they gained their independence its alot more than that but thay a quick rundown.

Hey, woke person responding to your comment, I would begin both a political party and a technology development company. The political party would focus on socialism addressing health care, education, equal rights, housing, and diminishing money in politics by promoting publicly funded elections. The technology company would focus on providing cheap/free food and water through either cleansing systems or synthetic production. Automation would be key at first in delivery (What if you "paid for food" by plugging in the drone that delivered it for an hour?) and ideally in the production of food and water. Automation is the future and we're not ready. Immortal Technique is quite critical of capitalism for good reason, and I fear that without social minded individuals wondering about the future (with diligent study of the past) we may soon be prey to a world where the owners of companies no longer need a majority of their workforce. The inequality has already been exponential, and it will continue unless people can put aside reactionary anger and just bitterness and work together. Many crimes of the past are murky and shadowed, and while revealing them may offer feeling of superiority or vindication, there is already plenty to work with to see the outline of history and to follow. Push past the glorification of battles and struggles of nations into the philosophies both preached and practiced (not one and the same), not just from the generals, presidents, and kings, but of the vast peoples under them as well.

I would invest in multiple business ventures. I would also invest in gold and the other currencies. I would take care of my family and friends as far as bills other things a place to live etc. Then play a little bit with my money do some partying, buy cars all that fun stuff. Then I will definitely buy a home that I could fortify to a point and put in in a bomb shelter and a underground living space with enough food and water for 5 years. Make it self-sufficient as far as plants and animals and as far as electricity as well. So it would run off of the Sun and generators if need be. I would also stockpile all this underneath the ground. Then I will get my family ready for any kind of disaster that may happen and able to protect themselves. I would coordinate with some loved ones so if something ever happens there's a large group of us because there's strength in numbers. Then after all that we would just live a good comfortable life knowing we are prepared and ready just in case something ever happens.

What I'd do if I won 500 million? I'm assuming you mean after taxes, first off I'm gonna be selfish & get myself out of this crippling debt from medical bills(Also get my family & best friend out of debt), then I'm gonna buy like, idk...a hundred acres of cheap forest land for myself & them. I'll probably invest 100 into the stock market to try & have some weight to throw around against more greedy fuckers. After that I'll start building tiny home communities in the nearby cities to try & put a stop to homelessness problem that our overpaid mayor can't seem to figure out how to fix. After that I'll start looking for abandoned factories to convert into aquaponic food factories to produce cheap organic & healthy food for my peoples who know what being poor & hungry is like. Once I'm comfortable with the progress I've made locally, only then will I worry about the stuff further away from me like on the other side of the country, or in other nations. Change needs to come from within first in my eyes, you can always help get purified water & shit to 3rd world countries but I'm mostly talking about hands on change that I'm personally living near & supervising so I know the money is going where it needs & not into some fuckers pockets. I also want to buy up some of this unused farmland that used to be woodlands or forest and rehabilitate it with the native plants it should have on it. Though that last one I'm gonna do regardless of me being rich or not, even if I gotta do it all alone I WILL reform some of this land to what my ancestors would recognize.
