Seriously, wtf is this AI slop video? I'm asking this as a long time subscriber of the channel. Topics, phrases and ideas are repeated in different ways, like a kid trying to fill the required word count of a book report. Not to mention that the entire video feels like it's made with AI. Both the script and the voice, given how the audio quality is different for each section, with odd cuts and phrases that sounds like the typical word salad that AI tend to output when not corrected. Lastly, this entire video feels like a sponsored video by AI and Neuralink. Where's the philosophy that got me into this channel? Because both AI, Neuralink and immortality are great opportunities to discuss deep philosophical aspects of human existence. Sorry for the rant. If you enjoyed the video, more power to you and I'm happy for you. But for me, the latest outputs of this channel have been a clear example of the meaning behind "quantity over quality".

I’m only 22mins in but I’m shocked you haven’t mentioned Longevity Escape Velocity (LEV). It’s the concept that, through advancements in medical and other technology, for every year you’re alive, more than 1 year is added on to your life expectancy. At the moment, we’re at around 3-4months per year. But when it reaches 1 year, we’ve effectively become immortal. This is likely to be achieved in our lives. Another thing that’s just weird about this video is how outdated it seems. You’re talking as if Neuralink doesn’t already have 2 patients, and also incorrectly say it has 200 odd electrodes, when it’s actually 1024 electrodes. I also don’t see why so much of this video was covering Neuralink. I mean it’ll allow us to more easily identify illnesses, monitor our bodies, and increase our cognitive abilities, but I don’t see how the first third of your video was dedicated to discussing the benefits of neuralink, without even mentioning how it leads to immortality being close. I do agree that it’ll be very useful and help us get closer, but it’s definitely not one of the main things that’ll bring us there.

Well, they have no idea how the mind works. The mind is adapted to our sensory input and constrained by our small brain, which dictates a large part of our behavior. How do you know the universe doesn’t already live forever? The Big Bang may or may not have happened. We don’t know. @CyberUtilia7 күн бұрын
Your brain already works like that, so. But I don't what ADHD feels like in your own head, or at least, no doctor has found my brain to be autistic. What is it when is it when I suddenly think about some most random insignificant place I've been to, not even really a place, something like a random little forest path to the side, and then I animate in my inner view a timelapse of that walk I took and imagine how the route I experienced a eye height would look from a plane above. Or ... keyboard, qwerty, key, square, box, flexbox, flextape, transparent boat, blue water, bahamas, bermuda, sable island, needle island laguna atascosa, canoe, palk strait, appa island, tamil nadu forest department, prosopis julifera, machete, kukri knife, 7 vs wild, g-wagon, and so on. A chain of things that can go through my head faster than I can type, a chain of seeemingly very loose and intransparent connections, except to me, because it's very specific things that I did and observed that allow these connections and that is mixed with some random stuff that my brain did in the moment. The images are already flashing through my head when I do this, and would even more if I had google in my head. I am typing on a keyboard, it's qwertz layout, z is a key, the key is square, it can be called a box, flexbox is some stuff in html coding that I'm learning about at the moment, flex? flextape!, I think flextape did a commercial where they cut out the floor of a boat and fixed it with a bigger piece of their transparent tape, they where driving over bright blue water, there's lot's of blue waters in the Bahamas, like the Bahamas, Bermuda starts with "B", what's the next island north of Bermuda?, the Sable island, it's an island with very narrow proportions, Needle Island in Laguna Atascosa is also extraordinarily long-shaped, I was there with a canoe, I was with a canoe too in the Palk strait between India and Sri Lanka, there was some Indian islands nearby, one was Appa island, I had asked the Tamil Nadu forest department for permission to visit that island on the canoe, there grows an invasive plant species on that island, Prosopis Julifera, I removed a bunch of it with a machete, another type of jungle-related knife is the Kukri, which is a knife that Fritz Meinecke used in his youtube-production "7 vs wild", he has also lived in a g-wagon for a while. Now I'm just curious for someone else's random chain

If it just records your neurons or whatever then it’s not really you and you will still die with a perfect other you in machine form

Honestly, I don’t wish to be immortal I just wish for the avg human lifespan to double or even triple so we can experience more of life. That only is if we don’t have to spend 100 plus years in an ole folks home. If not then I’m fine livin 80-90 years.

neuralink did not pioneer nor invented this procedure or method. It existed for over a decade and it was successfully implemented in patients with spinal cord insures . I'm amazed how creators, price Elon Musk owned companies for being panacea or pioneers and how they will solve world problems. :) Fun fact, this will likely never get a commercial application for variety of reasons, including the fact they have not completed successful testing even on animals(which on it's own is another red flag and topic some viewers might find disturbing)

You won't convince me Elon's desire for transhumanism isn't one huge ulterior motive for buying Trump the presidency. Remember that episode of Black mirror where the space captain ends up alone for eternity with nowhere to go? That's what I hope the first generation of this invention leads to.

The flesh does "die," but that who you are is immortal, which is the spirit.

Immortality is fundamentally impossible, we are too delusional and unaware of our mechanism to realize this now. But as we get closer to "immortality", we will.

Yeah if you’re a billionaire lol. Average person will never be allowed to have that.

If you truly believe this not only is your folly biblical, but to think somebody that's never even explained a technology or invented a product is beyond the pale.
