Game of the Year for me too. What an underdog. But great i gave this one a go. I had very low expectations coz the selling point they used was to advertise it was a baby of AC and BOTW. Systems and gameplay picks from here and there and it becomes its own thing. GOTY 2020. No TLOU2 bs. This one here deserved more recognition.

Honorable mention for abilities is the Phosphor ability that allows you to clone Fenyx. Makes some pressure plate puzzles a lot easier as you go on in the game.

TLDR: Sort of? if you don't mind daily challenges, really

I just played this game for the first time on my PS5 a couple of days ago. I had no idea there were horses and unicorns in this game. I've seen a number of reviews and gameplay and never knew about that. This just makes me even more excited to play the game more with all the cool looking rides, armor and skills they have in this game. So far. I really like the game.

I actually found a mount earlier than that. Just below where the Stoneglare plate is located, roaming on the beach area. It's a level 3 mount called laurion. Pretty good for my first mount

For those who dont know where he shows to get the stoneglare armor there is a level 3 mount that looks like pegasus(winged horse). Its on the beach on the island to the very right near a wrecked ship

I am sad that noone is talking about the silver pegasus on the beginner islands. :'( On the south-easern island, below the chest with the Gorgon armor, there is the first pegasus players can get and you just have to finish the prolog, get the wings and hop across the sunken ships.

hey guys, I'm here a year later. My first time playing this game was 2 nights ago and all I can think about is this game!! seriously what an amazing creation!! the gameplay alone is phenomenal, as good as BoTW (with some very tiny downsides) but the voice acting is what sends this game next level! I had to pause and laugh because it was so funny and it really pulls you into the world! Amazing game, 11/10, and I can't wait to play the entirety of this game and explore the map and perfect combat like a silky smooth warrior!

How has your progress went? I've been hesitant on playing this game, I downloaded it and played for a good hour or two had to leave. Decided to look further into reviews and some people like to say repetitive puzzles no good boss fights, and story line isn't their either. I didn't get to get to deep into the game so I don't know if those things are true I just don't have a lot of gaming time and try to choose time/game wisely

Great info, there is one mount i have not seen anyone recommend early on, 3 bar and it is located on your starting area, just go to the stone pillars southeast and at the base of the one with the guarded chest you'll find a gray pegasus like mount

Thanks for doing this. I just started the game and having the gear mentioned helps a lot! **Edit** - There's a helmet called 'Mane of Pride' to the east of The Observatory. It deals +150% damage against unharmed enemies and +150% stun against unharmed enemies at LV4. Great for initial hits & sneak attacks and only requires a minor puzzle to obtain!

You can use phosphorous cloak to go invisible and so sneak attacks yes. Also more importantly fast travel during combat, loot during combat and tame whatever super easy. I got it later in game but it’s a must. No one speaks on this

4:45 you only need 2 rocks for left/right, the last in the middle doesnt need a rock. if you are quick you can get inside and you can open the gate again from the inside.

I would also suggest remapping your running button. By default, it's the same button as dodge so when you press it, you dodge first before you start running. But if you map run to another button, you can start running immediately.

Cyclone and Tempest are really good weapons. Cyclone has a 20% chance to triple damage with a sword combo, Tempest does the same thing for Axes. They're both in the valley of eternal spring.

I'm actually quite disappointed he didn't tell anybody the most important thing in this entire game. The number one best thing to get is not gear is not a weapon it's not a mount it's a potion, your defense potion to be exact it's the yellow one max out thorns and the defense boost anything that touches you will now die except for bosses and it leads they will hit you multiple times then die which is why you boost your defense I've killed a legendary boss without attacking him with this potion.
