Can't believe this was in 1994, it's amazing hearing her voice from such a long time ago and how much it changed!

I had to put her music away for the last 2 months. Glad I did, sometimes I can listen to fav music to much...such as Imogen's. Love everything thing she does. Can't wait to see her for the first time ever, hopefully this year she will come my way in Toronto.

I still think this is probably my most favorite song she ever did, even though all the others are also really good. I wish it was on an album. It is so impressive!

Imogen is, and will always be better than a lot of bands. Most bands just say things with a music background, and what i hate, it's that people think it's music. How can people love so much, and know Justin Bieber, while there is a wonderful artist like Imogen ? Seriously, she's the best.

among the many songs by her that I love, this is the one who gives me goosebumps. sounds like she wrote her after visiting my region of origin, 'cause, from the intro on, it all reminds me of it and the feelings I have for my memories in this landscape

I guess it's better late than never. There was an interview where she mentions she used her lower register to appear stronger. She didn't say if it was for her benefit, the listeners or both.

Lovely Song. @TheArtistRiley There are plenty of deep voiced female singers out there. Ever heard of Annie Lennox, Cher, Toni Braxton, Tracy Chapman, Grace Jones, Peggy Lee, Jessica Rabbit (lol), Bonnie Rait, Fionna Apple, Stevie Nicks, Anne Wilson, Sara Bareilles, Leona Lewis, Melissa Ethridge, Adele, Patsy Cline, Mama Cass, Fergie, Judy Garland, Emily Haines, JoJo, Alicia Keyes, Chaka Khan, Reba McEntire, Katie Perry, Pink, Sade, Carly Simon, Amy Winehouse, Dionne Warwick, and even LadyGaga.

I've been longing for as long as i can remember Something like this to go my way And it always feels so right And then you take it all away Tell me how will i fall in love like that again When I'm still singing my way through tears in the pouring rain I'm still dreaming about those nights of ours together see I though I'd found the love I'd have forever

@TheArtistRiley gave you the gift. You do have your own free choice, which is why I said "hopefully to His Glory", but just don't be ashamed to sing low and you don't have to compare nor should you compare yourself to anybody else because your voice is beautiful just the way it is. God bless and love you brother or sister(humanity wise).

It is that gender-bending range that endears me to 90s Heapsongs. As a man with a decently high range, I sometimes feel as though my voice completes the circle. Just as she is a female with grunge inspired, angst laden tones, I am a man with a lacquer of pop vocals coating my voice.

She is just one of those singers with a unique range. If you guys think she sounds like a man, you Guys should look up LISA GERRARD She has a very very unique range. check her song Host of Seraphim, Sacrafice, Sanvean, Frontier, Dreams made Flesh. Another singer that is unique is NICK PITERA. Check out his song from Aladdin A Whole new World where he can litterally sing BOTH MALE AND FEMALE PARTS.

Add Happy Rhodes, if I recall she has 4 octave range. Wikipedia says she is a natural Contralto. I am not familiar with everyone on the list but I am willing to bet Happy can sing lower than anyone on the list. If you happen to listen to her let me know what you think! :)

@TheArtistRiley Don't feel insecure about your voice, you don't have to sing like anybody else but YOURSELF and with the voice God gave you, not anybody else and you don't have to sing to impress anybody else. Only do so if you WANT to, not because you're told, God gave us ALL free will and free choice and you can choose to sing low. Your voice STILL sounds good low I bet and there are A LOT of beautiful tenner to base voices out there and people love them and they too are blessed with them-
@joejar513 жыл бұрын
@TheArtistRiley and are not ashamed of their voices, and neither should you be, God, as he has given all the rest of us in this world, even inspite of how a lot of us use it, has given you a gift, I just hope and pray you'd use it to His Glory and therefore for the right reason, using it for the right reason is using it to His Glory anyway, because He is ALWAYS Righteous, so all in all my point being that I encourage you sing deep to your heart's content and hopefully to His Glory, knowing he-

Don't like the music? Then don't comment making rude comments and go listen to what you would call your music and what I would probably call trash.. Some of us actually have appreciation in artists like Imogen Heap and those who compose music and work hard making this so you could listen to it, unlike you.
