I love this song! It's so dark and creepy, fantastic! Thanks for uploading it!

It's just old enough one. Vocal skills is something you build. It's still very emotional and well-thought. Years and years passed since then.

This song is terrifying. Love it, but when I listened to the lyrics properly, it's darker than what's in my head, which is an achievement.

this is my fave Imogen Heap song ever!!! did anyone notice that there was guys going "ahhh" in the chorus? it makes it so much more effective and cruel!!! i must be sick to like torture horror songs and books. but as long as theyre fictional then i'll like them (cuz it wouldnt be nice to love something real now would it?) brilliant song, brilliant artist! Imogen Heap ftw!

[Verse 1] I am here again Tied up in your torture frame Printed paper, guilty to blame The story stays the same [Chorus] Dry me out, run me down, burn me out And rake it in, and rake it in Dry me out, run me down, burn me out And rake it in, and rake it in And rake it in, and rake it in [Verse 2] A slave upon your plate I am your dreams, yeah your life and your bait Selfish schemes, I proceed and you await You, my indefinite hate [Chorus] Dry me out, run me down, burn me out And rake it in, and rake it in Dry me out, run me down, burn me out And rake it in, and rake it in And rake it in, and rake it in [Bridge] Do you know what my chopping block's for? Do you know what my hanging braid's for? Do you know what my chamber maid's for? Do you know what I, what I have in store for you? [Interlude] [Chorus] Dry me out, run me down, burn me out Rake it in, rake it in Rake it in, rake it in [Chorus] Dry me out, run me down, burn me out And rake it in Dry me down, run me out, burn me out And rake it in, and rake it in [Outro] Rake it in some more Rake it in some more

Trust me, Imogen has her own unique style now. This was her first album so she was probably experimenting or trying to find her own style back then. She sounds NOTHING like Tori Amos. Try one of her newer songs, like "Headlock", "Clear the Area"....anything other than this song.

OK, I agree they have their own unique styles, but you can’t deny the OBVIOUS similarity between the two... Come on.

Yes it's very good, but "all original" is not quite correct; it uses a (credited and approved) sample from "Sexy Girls", written by Gert Wilden. The sample is quite an important part of the song.

I love Imogen/Frou Frou, 9/10 of her songs are amazing to hear. The other %10 sound like she's a dying cat trying to rehearse a Rihanna song. This is one of those songs. Goddamn, I'm glad she has better ones.

I think Imogen Heap is a good singer but this song is horrible

This sounds like a girl who grew up listening to Tori Amos & is now trying to be her without as good of a voice & no originality. How uninteresting.
