There are a lot of great options for impact drivers, and you don't always have to spend a fortune to get a great tool. I'm looking at two impact drivers from Home Depot that are both reasonably priced and will offer strong performance. We put each through 12 common tasks and see which one is victor!

i have this ridgid impact driver, and love it, but i feel you did the ryobi a disservice by using one hand and an awkward angle to drive the screws, and using two hands and a better angle with the ridgid.

I can see what you are saying but having used both of them back to back, I don’t think that it would have changed the results all that much. The Ridgid feels like the slightly faster impact in use

You sure take great effort to run the ridged properly 💪😭😭

Should try this with the 3 speed ryobi, I have it and it sinks screws WAY faster, although tbf I really only use the 4AH HP batteries.

I have it on my list to pick up of I see a good deal on it but the specs are actually the same on paper. Not saying their won’t be a difference but that is the main reason I haven’t rushed out to get it.

In order for the RYOBI to keep up it needs big batteries I’ve noticed they do not like small batteries

I wish they both have the tri beam lights like the old ones of these tools it can illuminate in dark spaces but I notice in tight dark spaces the light does not illuminate on spots that you are drilling or screwing on a certain spots you can’t see it completely that’s why I prefer the p237 that is the old brush three speed impact that has the tri beam lights that stay lighted which you can see better which the lights in the new hp tools should by the trigger looks Milwaukee does or tri beam to me would be more helpful when needed a light than trying to get a small flashlight to illuminate a tight dark area.

Yeah the tri bean or the halo light that you see on some newer impacts is superior

I wonder what would happen if he actually took a step over to use both hands, and angle of fattack on each, instead of just closer attack on the rigid..🤣🤣

Is rigid using 21700 cells? Would make a big difference imho.

This video was not using them. Ridgid has 21700 in older octane batteries, which I don’t own, and in the new 8 ah battery. I have done later testing on the drill with that battery and then in a different Ridgid video about the new 4 mode impact we did some testing with the 8.

Use two hands when removing the bit.

I get that you can use two hands. I still hate that “feature”.

@@TinkerWithTools I think I saw a Flex do that in a video too, so maybe it’s just the individual tools, and not the specific brand.
