Impact of Increasing false rape cases in India| Mojo Story

Since the Nirbhaya Rape case happened in the year 2012 an alarming increase in the false rape cases being filed is recorded. Many innocents have been convicted guilty for their life.
In 2014, Commission for Women submitted a report stating that 53.2% of rape cases registered between April 2013-July 2014 were false.
Recently there was another false rape case witnessed in Ghaziabad. Police claimed that the alleged gang rape has turned out to be false as woman was lying to frame the men owing to property dispute.
This story tends to give you a fair Idea of how deeply such false rape cases impact the society.

That's the problem. Laws should be implemented in such a way that what false accusations they are giving that same should be given as punishment to them. If rapist gets some 10 years in prison the false accuser should get 10 years when proven guilty

There needs to be laws that make any deliberate false rape accusation activate consequential accountability.
