Here’s what ThePrint’s Shahbaz Ansar found when he spoke to men in Delhi on the seventh anniversary of the gruesome Nirbhaya case, and why very few lessons have been learnt in this time.

There's no "might". A man would r*pe despite the clothes she is wearing. It is absolutely compulsory to teach your daughters and other women of your family the precautionary measures to protect themselves from potential r*pists but I think the situation would have been a lot better if men were held in the same standards as women and were also expected to act modest, not just around women but around everyone. I can relate to you, your parents mentality plays a huge role in your life. I always wonder me and my neighbor di was just on 15ft distance frkm each other but still our life is so different. Di was cooking, cleaning and doing all house chores when she was 13 after coming from school. But here, me and my sister never touch a broom against our will. Our parents always used to say just study. Study and become an independent women. To dig deeper, how we were so close but our upbringing was so different cuz of our parents. My dad was educated engineer and mom, a homemaker. I sometimes get scared what if i had a dad like di my life would have been hell that's why i am so grateful to my parents. I am from Pakistan , idk how this video came infront of me. In Pakistan rape cases are increasing aswell, same in India. People are just fighting about hindu , muslims etc. First of all parents should teach their children about whats wrong and whats right but after seeing this video i can guess what the parents actually teach. Secondly punishments like death penalty and pp cutting should be there to stop this evil act.
