So sad that George was brought in literally on the 11th hour to execute the coup, he wasn't even one of the main people at all. I know this based off what many Fijian chiefs connected to coup leaders have told me over the years. His eloquence in English and education was why he was asked the night before to join the coup. Nobody wants to talk about the Indians involved in funding the 2000 coup and how they were traitors to their own community. Personally, I'd agree to let George go, he never was the mastermind behind anything sadly.

Glad you said this. He did that before during and after his sentencing..and to this day. He maintains his stance whether they forgive him or not. Not many people know this. He is sorry. It was the kindness and goodwill of the Fijian chiefs in partnership with the Colonial government that saw it fit to offer your forefathers the opportunity to build a home in Fiji. Thirdly, Fijians were planting acres of crops before Indians came for their subsistence and village community needs.
