Had a small low slide crash, rear tire slipped on oil, crash cage 100% saved my bike from any damage. The cage is still in great shape as well. I would recommend it.

Awesome. Glad both you and your bike are ok.

At 6:54 I believe Those ends are cut like that to help keep a low side from turning into a high side... Makes the bike slide easier on asphalt without digging in and sending you over it or flipping you and the bike with it chasing you during the slide... If the crash ( which I hope you never have another accident ) happens on grass & dirt the bike will most likely dig in no matter what... Great upload, thinking about switching brands and getting me a 636.. :- ) Safe riding, take care and have a good one

That makes sense, thank you. I don’t like the way they look and would have preferred they were capped nicer, but now that I see the angle they have it does feel like they were intending to provide a better sliding surface.

Thank you for this! I'm about to get the zx6r in 2 weeks! I've been looking at the race rail version to put on immediately. I love that you got the product from all angles! Especially the top down. Know what I'm getting into.

Your bike looks good! Got me the same cage to protect my bike. Got it in a candy red for my 2022. I don't stunt either but I plan to learn how to wheelie soon. Got to protect my baby lol

Did you ever figure out how to change the oil filter without removing the cage?

Not tall… not tall at all 😔 5’4”

@@jc_alpha oh same here :(, did you lower the bike?

@@TheGamingGhosts You’re 5’4” too? My homie! 😎 Don’t you think the designers of the Yamaha R1 hated us? 😂 That thing is so tall. But no, I didn’t lower my bike. The ZX6R is actually not too bad when it comes seat height. I can’t flat foot it with both feet, but if I tilt it slightly or shift my body a little to one side, I have no issues flat footing it with one foot as you see in the video here. The seat height might feel uncomfortable/unsafe at first but you get used to it rather quickly. Btw, the reason why I didn’t lower it is that lowering it changes the geometry of the bike and, if I remember correctly, causes some handling issues, so I decided against it.

You're paying $800 to have your $1500 of oem bike parts protected. You can take the cage off at any time. If it saved you 20 times after crashing, it more than paid for itself.
