You really have to rotate the wheels! If you turn them 180°, they will wear out evenly and keep their shape. The way you ride them, they all wear on one side and this drastically changes the stability and lastly has an impact on your technique. Two simple rules: the first and the last wheel has to touch the ground, otherwise the setup is not stable. It is no problem if the 2nd or 3rd wheel dont touch the ground, because with your body weight they will be pressed down. 2nd rule: rotate wheels so that they wear down evenly.

How to rotate
@mialily67872 жыл бұрын
why do you have to rotate them if when you ride them they spin anyway
@nulldemokratiezwei77732 жыл бұрын
@@mialily6787 Yes, but one side of the wheel wears out more than the other side (usually the inner side, because you use it to generate force). So one should take out the wheel and turn it around, so that "inner" part becomes "outer" part. In this way the wheels stay "pointy", instead of looking like the ones shown in this video, where only one side of the wheel is worn down ;-)

Grew up on inline but it's been 10 years since I've skated. Like everyone else I bought roller skates for pandemic boredom and couldn't seem to ever get comfortable on them. Finally tried on some inlines and omg you'd think I had never stopped! Ordering these asap. Keeping my roller skates for rink birthday parties etc, but won't be taking them out for exercise/recreation.

I haven’t found the answer yet, on whether they are a true fit vs. running large or small??? I found the Impala website, because I wanted a different look - specifically, something with orange! I could not find the brand that I have, which is Solomon. I’ve had my Solomon rollerblades for around 23 years. I certainly don’t wear them a ton and I’ve never even changed the wheels. It’s difficult to find nice pavement that doesn’t rattle my organs!!! 😖😖😖

Your wheels aren't supposed to look like that! You need to rotate them periodically.
@micaelagarcia60793 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm a beginner! Does rotation mean to buy new ones and replace them or just change their positions on the rollerblade?
@jarleveldman38513 жыл бұрын
@@micaelagarcia6079 rotating them means putting the wheels from the left skate on the right, or just turn them around, or change the position on the skate. (there are different ways to do this, youtube has a ton of videos on this) this prevents them from wearing out on one side, and they'll wear evenly.
