Impala SS 6 Speed by Three Pedals

We installed a T56 Magnum 6 speed manual transmission in this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS using our proprietary conversion kit which removes all the guesswork. No, these big cars did not come with manuals at all since about the late 60's. I factory ordered a 1976 Pontiac Ventura with a V8 and a 5 speed. I drove it for 19 years with no transmission issues at all. I have never owned an automatic car. I hate them. I would have factory ordered a Caprice with a manual, but they would not do it. I ordered a 1987 Chev Astro Van with a 5 speed and kept it for 17 years until it rusted out. Loved it, and tried to order another one The last year you could order them was 1988. Nobody cares about driving anymore.

I want to swap in a T56 or a TR6060 in it but i really want everything to work such as cruise control etc to work. Any opinions on how to achieve that? Ok. I'll break the kit down a bit more, because the price of a full swap varies depending on what you need. The kit itself is $2175, and includes parts we've developed, other parts needed for the swap, and our custom Impala console piece (see the Kit Contents tab here: threepedals.com/conversion-kits/impala-t56-kit/). In addition to our kit you will need the following parts to complete the conversion - transmission, bellhousing, clutch and clutch hydraulics, flywheel, rear gears, driveshaft, and computer reprogramming. One of the first builds i did a few years ago was an impala ss like this. Put a 383 in it, was almost done and the owners ex wife set the car on fire.. lucky it wasnt in my shop, happened in driveway

The 1996 Impalas have a tach. For earlier years, and for Caprices, Roadmasters etc. we like to add a tach. We are working on a plug and play dash cluster for these cars with a tach, in the meantime an F-Body dash can be made to work, or an external tach can be added. Thanks!

I understand though that not all like to drive a real car. I want a 7 speed on my next car. Corvette has them, but my wife does not like Vettes.
