What a lovely little family cemetery in the midst of a beautiful, quiet wooded area! These folks may not be remembered by too many today, but God knew them better than anybody on this earth, could. He never forgets any of us!

Thank you for sharing this video, and for all the effort that went into filming, editing and posting it. The luminous green of the trees, the deep red of the clay and the easy banter and respectful presentation all came together in the beautiful South Georgia sunshine to make this one of my favorites. Great way to start my day out here in Nevada. Thank you again so much.

I'm only at the 8:30 point, but I've enjoyed the walk up the road so far. When the other Robert says, "Ya'll hear that bird?", four different birds are calling. The loudest one is a Carolina Wren, but a Northern Cardinal, an American Redstart, and a Red-eyed Vireo are also singing.

Well-done. That road was definitely dicey, & despite having to make that long hike, ultimately was the right decision.---Also, the scenery combined with the geology highlights, made this visit a real treat.---And, I do love listening to your birdsong.---I'd like to think your friend in Heaven was looking over your shoulder despite not getting there in person.---Great family outing?!

Great discovery Robert. War of 1812 soldiers & wives got to obtain a lot of land in the land lotteries in Ga. My great great grandfather on mothers side came from Lincoln Cty Ga to Upson Cty Ga & is buried there with an 1812 having served headstone.

The clay formations along that road are just so cool, makes me wish I finished my geology course back in the dark ages...But the cemetery is so old and beautiful and so well kept. Makes me wonder if there might be an old homestead nearbye. Thank you (to both Roberts and the assistant with the good eyes). 😸

So many people doing ancestry research now, and so many gaps to fill. Wonderful that people are finding these places, that families had hoped would last through time.

When I worked in Georgia I'd occasionally come upon a nice old cemetery like this one and stop to check them out. Couldn't help but imagine what life was like for the folks buried there. Always peaceful, always perfect the way it should be. So much history and just wonderful memories preserved there. You better be careful of them bees all dressed up like a big ole flower. Bless you all.

Beautiful color! Ha! Ha! Ha! - "there is only room for one Robert" - carved in the red clay!! It was not just uncensored but brought to our attention. The duel continues! The Other Robert, I cannot find a connection between M.W. Whaley and Parrott - but that doesn't mean there isn't. When the contract comes up July 1, you'd better add; access to and use of an ATV, 4-wheel drive or military vehicle of equal capabilities, at no charge for use and all gas and/or fuel supplied. 😉 Appreciate all of your efforts on this one especially. Thank you, Other Robert. 👍👍❣❣

Robert & Mrs O., I'm just worn out walking that road with you, and knowing you've only gone half way. Robert, you have a penchant for geology. Fascinating how the geologic history can be told through that road cut. The sandstone and limestone is obvious. but where does the red clay come from? Whoever has kept up the Whaley Family Cemetery has done a wonderful job. There's a lot of love in this cemetery.

Those tall banks are fascinating! What a lovely cemetery. So glad to see the fence and gate relatively unscathed. Thank you, Other Robert and your executive producer 🙂 for making that trek. It was seriously 2 miles one way?!! Yowza!😯 You did it! Thanks again. To the military personnel, a belated "thank you" for your service. A soldier who had served in the Battle of 1812 - amazing!🇺🇲 It's always sad to see the children's graves. I always wonder what they passed from. I'm sure a common reason was illness. Another fascinating adventure!🙂

At 3:40 those looked like those wasps that fly around over the wet grass in the summer. They don't seem to be interested in people at all. The ones I see are blue. I was surprised to see that big modern bridge out in the woods on a dirt road. Around here the bridges out in the woods on dirt roads are wooden bridges. Actually we have a lot of wooden bridges around here, but in many cases they pave over the wooden decks, which I don't understand. They've only been doing that in the last 30-35 years. I'm surprised that you didn't comment on the fact that all the stones in that cemetery have been cleaned. But that's great. Great to see that.
