Impatient driver nearly causes head on collision overtaking horses.

A clear case of careless driving. The car behind the horses had slowed and kept a safe distance as we were on the brow of a hill and there was no view to safely overtake.
The next car behind decided not to wait and overtook the first car and the two horses without checking for oncoming traffic. Luckily the oncoming car was being very sensible and driving very slowly on the approach, and was able to brake on time to avoid a collision.
Very lucky for all concerned.
Incident was reported and the police very quickly dealt with the driver for careless driving.
Gaps in the sound is not me swearing at the driver! I've edited out the bit where I called out the reg numbers of the offending car and the witness behind in case camera didn't catch it.
Very glad that all the other cars were driving so well, or the outcome could have been very messy.

That's a good idea to thank drivers who do it right in that way. I usually just smile at them and nod, but a good wave and a "Thank you!" might encourage other cars behind them to act the same. Thanks for the tip!😃🐎
