About that tray...it goes on the top of the machine to feed the dough into the rollers...not underneath. Too bad the manufacturer doesn't show that in a photo in the manual.

what's a good formula for the sacrificial dough? i'm assuming it'll just be flour and water with no egg or salt.

😂 Yes. It’s just flour and water. Though before each use I use a small ball of the pasta dough to clean the rollers the same way.

The plate/tray goes into the top of the machine to help guide the dough into the rollers. Took me awhile to figure out as it's not shown anywhere in the assembly instructions.

Once the dough comes out dirty should we not put it back into the machine? Should we use a fresh piece of dough each time until it comes out clean?

We can roll the same dough many times using the machine. Use fresh dough once it gets very dirty. You might need 3-4 small balls of dough to clean the pasta machine before the first use.

Yes. It’s a pain to clean the machine. I use toothpick/skewers and hair colour brush to clean it.

Is the crack inserted properly? Are you able to turn the crank?

@@MillennialHomemaker oh, yes. Tha crack is properly turning. The other one flatter is not. But the other one is turning.

Sounds like a manufacturing defect. Try contacting the seller.

The wheel is not aligned with another. I tried to open it. I think it can be tap or adjust. Hehe.
