I think a lot of people really misjudge the effective range of a shotgun. Depending on choke #00 buckshot can be effective anywhere from 25 to 50m and then even further on other factors up to 70m. Now is that going to kill someone that far out? No of course not but you'd probably still feel it. Slugs on the other hand can be effective up to 150m, and I sure as shit wouldn't wanna be hit by one even at that range. Anyways.. so for shotguns having a long range profile that does 1/2 dmg isn't really that unheard of imho.

@@DarrinSK as someone who just finished a hunting course in Europe I can tell you that I was taught that Brita invented the shotgun calibers, so if someone should know it its them😅

So I was playing around with ktcalc, and I think you should give the las-volley another look. obviously heavy sucks but its got great damage output.

Great vid. Just worth noting Hatchcutter does not breach walls or closed hatches in ITD. Nothing goes through walls in ITD "regardless of any other rules". Non ITD they can.

I have this team and have not had a chance to play them with ITD yet. They're honestly horrific in normal play. No range, middling damage, and fiddly rules to negate all of the damage you'll be taking. The stims aren't broken in any way. 4+ save is pretty shite so againsy a KT like scions you end up taking 3-4 damage every shooting activation. You NEED the stimm if you don't want your guys to be wounded turn 1. They also nerfed the hell out of the grenadier so he's practically useless past his demo charge. The models are sweet and they might be busted in ITD but in normal play I'd honestly take a compendium guard team over them

No, it's exactly how you should play it, group activate it with the Operator to move it in and detonate.

Use breach and clear, throw a grenade with your Grenadier, and then send in the Geist to blow up. AOE heaven

You’re right, but I think GWs plan is release a lot more ITD content and more setups for it since it got unique rules. That way anyone playin them can actually get use out of it haha.
