Wanting that to happen is the most natural reaction in my opinion, spin in all you want but on paper, but at first glance and to most casuals it really is just that Hal left his team, his friends some might say, for the prospect of becoming champion again. He's painted himself as the villain in this storyline the natural protagonists being Verhulst and Reps who were effectively left behind. Obviously real life probably doesn't end well for Verhulst and Reps but if this was a movie, they'd come back and win.

I really want that as well, but let's be honest; not gonna happen.. TSM was so based on hal and he shows that througbout all the tourneys he plays. He brings another energy to the table which i'm not sure he will be able to bring to dz.. Hal left reps and verhulst for a reason, they were not good enough last year. It’s simple if you been listening to Hal for the last two years his been dropping hints about how he doesn’t want the burden of IGL, reps hasn’t been mentally right for a while, it’s shocking they even won champs, Evan as amazing as he is has this tendency to be completely braindead for no apparent reason throughout games his very unpredictable, would pop the hell off in a contest or fight and the very next thing after would be the most braindead thing ever and just be dumbfounded. He hasn’t been able to shake that for a while now.

@@nowelbobke1506 thats true. Its a teamgame. And as Hal said, it has nothing to do with Lan result. But to be fair, Hal had some great fight openings and they still couldn't win cuz of individual mistakes or not focused on Hals callouts. Hal missed some shots for sure, but overall it was a lot of stuff going on. Unlucky zones, Bad 3v3 or even 3v2 fights, unlucky griefing and so on. They were great as individual players for sure. But as a team with the new meta, it didn't work for them.

Its like someone else wrote in the comment section, theres a lot more to why he wanted to try a different team. Explaining more than he did would just destroy Evan and Jordans reputation. Also dont forget, him leaving insted of demanding swapping Jordan and Evan kinda saves, the last two named, from being orgless/without paycheck - due to Hal being a better prospect in the market. I wouldnt imagine Evan finding it hard to find a new team if the decision was opposite, but Jordan might struggle. But its like we all already know, the team has been struggeling. We early saw traces of Hal focusing more on how to put out directions to his teammates about how to play their certain role aswell as legend, which has struck his own performance. Evan is a coinflip. He can be the best player in the world during one period, but on the other one he wouldnt even fit a CC team. Jordan had his prime time, but slowly has been vanishing both from the scene aswell as in performing. The lust and passion isnt there anymore. Honestly I sometimes think he's only been in the team because of friendship and trust between him and Hal, and also him being the only glue that can have both Hal and Evan in check so they dont go ham at each other.

you know i did kinda tear up a bit to this cause it’s like these guys have been dominating the comp scene for how long now? 3-5 years? seeing them split up is definitely sad but realistically this is the healthiest outcome. I just really hope people don’t start hating on Hal for this because at the end of the day you wanna do what’s best for you right? ESPECIALLY in the Esports scene where nothing is never grounded and it’s ever-changing, and this can also be an opportunity for Reps and Big E to grow in terms of leadership and how to determine team fights in a different way. It makes sense this all happened i am sad about it but it’s good to know they are still friends and they chose to best outcome

After all their victories, that historical back to back to back champs win. It's truly sad seeing the bois split up. On one hand to us it looks like one bad performance was all it took, but all great things come to an end. The thing is, it's better Hal is leaving because if he stays, things will only get worse. He's the IGL, the main man at TSM. If he doesn't have that passion to play, then the team will get nowhere. Its such a difficult situation because we don't exactly know the inner working and what's happening behind the scenes, however I can say I'm looking forward to Zero X Hal 😆
@mitchellcarter2799

It’s really no surprise he left to join DZ because they’re the most dominant na Team and also because he wants to play with gen. Zero poached gen from TSM because they both were fighting for him. I’m glad it worked out. I think gen and Hal as fragger will wreack havoc.
