I hope to see Shalidor returns to ESO. Nordic pride, arrogance, and honor combined with the power of Vanus Galerion makes him an interesting character.
@farhansaber9330 Жыл бұрын
Tbh I didn't really like Shalidor's appearance in ESO. you know that saying about meeting your heroes? I felt ESO depicted Vanus Galerion and Shalidor as characters who were better off being remembered as legends. The amount of respect I had for Vanus Galerion in lore was great before I met him in ESO for him to be an all too arrogant and prideful elf. And Shalidor having the same voice as every other generic nord and showing such weakness felt odd to me too. This is the same man who took on an army of red guards warriors alone. The same mage who created all of Labrynthian. All his legendary feats whittled away now because I can see how lame he is in ESO in hindsight for some reason 😅. Don't get me wrong I enjoy playing ESO, I just did not like the depiction of those two personally.
@badluck5647 Жыл бұрын
@@farhansaber9330 I enjoy the flawed characters. If anything, ESO characters are boring and one-dimensional. Just look at the High Isles chapter. Every alliance leader was morally flawless, while the big bad wanted global domination through apocalyptic mass murder. Instead, the alliance leaders should be selfish or prejudicial, while the big bad should have had a point about how the alliance leaders' flaws are causing harm.

@@berilsevvalbekret772 The horrifying things the Alliance Leaders' subordinates do is played off as they are unaware of it. It would be more interesting if they knowingly turned a blind eye because they think some evils are necessary or they find it politically convenient to confront powerful members of the alliances. Also, even the Alliance villains are cartoonishly evil aka shallow and boring.

Just finished the Mages guild questline ESO last night and holy shit. Uncle Sheo is terrifying when he spaks in a low tone. I literally felt fear and the way he dropped those hints and how Valaste acted... chills. Literal chills

I'm surprised that Sheogorath would do something like this. This seems more like a Clavicus Vile move.
@BP-dn9nv5 ай бұрын
Sheogorath loves to troll people. He once got into a competition with Hircine where they both sent out an animal champion. Hircine sent out a werewolf and Sheogorath countered with a tiny bird. The bird flew around the werewolf, making it claw itself to death. Hircine normally doesn't mind getting beaten but this one embarrassed him greatly.

Shalidor should have known to never bet against the God of Madness. Even other gods should only bet against him cautiously. Your average mortal doesn't stand much of a chance.

I think with Hammerfell all but officially announced as the location of TES VI, having a DLC or something set on Eyevea would be a great thing to see. Especially considering so many were dissatisfied with the magic in Skyrim and Eyevea being an entire island meant for mages. A much more varied magic and weapon system with more types of weapons and more specializations of magic would be a huge improvement in the next game. Since Howard mentioned once he wants it to be replayable for something like a decade unmodded, a much more expansive magic system would probably be necessary to enable more character types.
@Ronam0451 Жыл бұрын
I thought it was high rock?
@UnswimmingFishYT Жыл бұрын
@@Ronam0451 Very unlikely. The cinematic thing we got cleared showed a location in Hammerfell, as all the geography lines up, and the terrain just looks exactly like it should. The crater looks like a place accidentally made by Azra Nightcaller. There was also a post on Twitter from TES officially. It said something like "transcribe the past and map the future", and had a candle emoji as a hint. The image showed a candle set on a Skyrim map, in the empty space to the west exactly where Hamemrfell is. If the actual hints aren't enough, Skyrim's writing very clearly was meant to set the Thalmor as a major problem going forwards, with clues at them planning another war, and them generally just being villains across Skyrim's quests. The most important point is that we know Hammerfell was the target of a large portion of the Dominion's forces and their invasion wasn't very successful, leaving a huge potential for further conflict there, and making it the ideal province to further explore what they might be planning. If you want to get really crazy, there's also the tower theory which is partially canon so far, and indicates they want High Rock, but might need Hammerfell to move an army closer to the Adamantine Tower. Considering that theory would lead to an apocalyptic event and mainline games tend to have those as a main story, the Tower of the Dirreni is almost certainly planned for some use, and is in High Rock, but every other clue says Hammerfell, including all the official hints from 3, 5, and 12 years ago. There is some potential the BGS's heavily increased size is meant to enable building both places in the game for a bigger game with more replayability and such, and I'd personally love seeing both, but it's a possibility without as much suggesting it. If the Adamantine Tower is part of the TES VI story, it would need to be both places, but we could just as easily see the expected Hammerfell for TES VI, then become old before seeing TES VII in High Rock.

Unrelated, but does anyone know, if flame atronachs can have canonically different colours than the usual fire colour, other than the blue of cold flame atronachs? Like green, for example? Cause I couldn't find a definitive answer. I plan on painting the Minis from the adventure game miniatures Upgrade Box, and thought of giving them different colours to better differentiate, and if there were canonical colours, those would take preference.

A video mentioning or remotely involving Winterhold? I know there's gonna be those people (who think they Socrates) in the comments so here's your reminder: I've yet to see an in-game source refer to Winterhold as a "city" and, in fact, multiple NPCs refer to it as the "town of Winterhold." Wow, it can be a smaller village while also being the capital of a frankly desolate hold. Who would've thought, right? Cognitive dissonance is fun, though.
@ImperialKnowledge Жыл бұрын
Its rumored ESO’s next year chapter may be winterhold so im holding off for now. Bc ZOS has all its lore vetted by BGS we can then find out whether or not winterhold was meant to be a city or not since it was definitely not destroyed in the second era
@Celadonis-the-Lore-Seeker Жыл бұрын
In Arena, there is a store called "The city-state Tool Store" in Winterhold. It would then be logical to assume that Winterhold is a city-state.
