Hey guys, great batrep - I'm really glad to see MiniWarGaming start to cover X-Wing, and I hope you guys continue! I remember last year in Matt's Sit & Talk he didn't think X-Wing was that much of a miniatures game and that gamers were less likely to invest heavily - I agreed with him then as the number of distinct ships released at that point were smaller in quantity with the game being basically x-wings Vs TIE swarms. I have since changed my mind about X-Wing Miniatures because we're now at Wave 8 with a Force Awakens core set just arriving, meaning there are tonnes of ships and upgrade options available bringing lots more strategy to the gaming table. Not to mention, as we approach December *everyone* is going to go Star Wars crazy - so yes, I think it's a great decision to start covering X-Wing right now.

Yay more X-wing! But in the future, try to balance the list a little more. You dont have to fly the top meta lists, but if one player does it, make sure the other does it too.

I don't believe they were using Wedge's ability very often in that match which is a shame... first attack against the interceptor rolled 5 defence (agi+stealth device+ range three) however Wedge should have removed one of those dice with his ability. I would also recommend taking a shield upgrade on X-wings with R2 on board because it really helps shield regeneration shine.

+Josh Neil The Decimators primary weapons have the turret rule which allows them to fire in a 360 degree arc, this only applies to its primary weapons so anything like missiles do not benefit.

Ysanne Isard doesn't work with that order. The Action, Experimental Interface, and Expose build generates a stress token (which prevents you from performing a free action at the start of the combat phase). The 'correct' way to do this is to use Push the Limit. During the Activation Phase, you use Expose (and if you have shields, PTL if you'd like). Or, if you don't have Shields and a Damage card, you use Expose (and wait for the start of the Combat Phase, where you activate Ysanne Isard, and then you can Push the Limit for a second Action at the cost of a Stress Token).

Enjoyable video and happy to see xwing on the channel, but please firm up on some of the rules and strategies as well as balancing the power of the lists. One mistake I haven't seen mentioned yet is hits are cancelled before crits so when Tycho took damage from Chiraneau without shields it should have been face up.

Few little mistakes made but all in all good; -Stealth device was missed a few times. -Ysanne Ysard can not trigger when the ship is stressed because the card reads "perform a free focus ACTION" you can not perform actions when stressed The normal system for that chiraneau is to target lock in the activation then Ysanne activates in the combat phase which triggers expose

Good timing- renewal anniversary is tomorrow. +FilmicEdge a few of the mid and larger ships have 360 firing arcs... think of it like it has AA turrets all over as opposed to forward facing fixed guns like on the X-wing

hooray Ten Numb should have used a Mangler canon at least You don't automatically have inititive for having a lower squad points value. You get to choose who has the initiative. Also it is pronounced like "An-till-ease".

To be completely honest: the rule is from the tournament rules for x-wing and not the casual ones presented in the rulebook. I'm just accustomed to them by both playing under those rules more often and because other x-wing battle reports by other groups are commonly played under that ruleset.

This is basically one guy "flying casual" and the other one having a top meta list so that's what happens. He flies Soontir as if he had a deathwish though. I mean he deserved to lose him parking him twice in front of Wedge and not even using evade. Just a few things more. One turn Wedge shoots at the Decimator which does not shoot back for some reason. And i am not turned off like some peopke here because he says Antilles Name wrong, but because he seems to have Dyslexia. The A-Wing and the B-Wing are both B-Wings all the time, and the X-Wing is an A-Wing. Quite amusing though XD

So, you guys net deck lists (Imperial in particular) but clearly have no clue how to fly them. You would be better off starting with beginner lists to build your base...because the people who play this game regularly will see your attempts and likely troll you...or just move on all together. You are effectively trying to drive a formula 1 car...after just getting your learner's permit... Dial it back... play to your skill level...and the audience will appreciate it. Go outside of your knowledge and you'll never get off the ground... WAAAY too many people doing battle reports and streams of Xwings nowaddays... and relying on the miniwargaming name won't save you
