Don't know if you've come back to this, but using ANT landscape add on you get the "Create" tab in the side menu that opens with "N". In "Landscape Tools" there's "Weight from Slope" that will generate a weight paint based on slope and elevation.

By way of trying to help you out; one synonym for "extrude" is "emit". Several synonyms for "emit" are; *"secrete", "send forth (out)", "spew", "squirt"* ... so ... "S to (choose your synonym's synonym)" P.S. I rather enjoy the extra (unhurried) tips and discoveries after the build - no need for apologies.

Thank you for your great content. Please note that in Germany the age median of covid accounted deaths is 82 years and the official statistics could not show a deviation of total deaths during the last months compared to the previous years. We got on average of 100 covid accounted deaths per day, where due to the natural limit of age and the other death causes on average 3000 to 4000 people die per day in germany.

The reason you need to select at least 3 sides in the slop selection is probably blender is averaging the normals. You need to select the facing different directions so it doesn't select just faces turned to one side. Choosing faces in groups of 120º apart should be enough, so they cancel out.

Loving the vids. One suggestion... Could you make a quick game like the racer but with a Person as the character exploring the island? Maybe, have the character need to get a crystal to unlock a boat to escape before the lava overflows or something like that. It be cool to see how you program that.... It doesn't have to be in 10 minutes though it would be awesome if you could manage it 🤣🤣.

Beautiful island. For the steep tiles : You could have selected flat tiles and then inverted selection. The up normal would be more similar than all the steep normal going 360 around the z axis.

Thanks for these short sessions and great explanations afterward, "impressive" (Quake sound) what you can model in just 10 min! Tips • To move on x,y or z ► G + middle mouse + slight movement on the direction to lock axis Similarly to rotate and scale on x,y or z, I find it a little slower ► R or S + middle mouse + slight movement (then point the axis with a little white line indicator) [ more detail on ► docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/scene_layout/object/editing/transform/control/axis_locking.html ] • Select similar ► Shift + G

For rocks/crystals you could also use the "random" option in proportional editing. Then instead of selecting single faces you can select a whole area where rocks should appear.

@skillzorskillsson82284 жыл бұрын
You could had selected the vertices for your green landscape color and made it in to a vertex group and then use the particle system to place the trees. I think that would had been alot faster. Sure you dont have the same control and it can easy get messed up for exmaple that 2 treas are placed in almost same spot. But since ur working on time i believe you would had saved alot of time by doing it that way. But overall i gotta say you are really creative with your models. Its a cool little island that you made. Well done off-topic: about corona spread in sweden yeah it's pretty damn bad spread in sweden but all the deaths is because sweden decided that they want to try get 60% of the people infected by the virus so that when they recover they will be immune and that will stop the spread. Thats what i've heard atleast. And its mostly just in stockholm that the virus has been going crazy. I am from stockholm myself and i only have 1 friend who have been infected but i go to the store every day and im not washing my hands and i dont have any symptoms of the virus... So i dont really know. From what i read online it looks really bad but i dont think its as bad as it looks 423 deaths per 1 milion and we have around 10 milion people in sweden.
