This video will Premiere on 7th May at 19:00 CET, watch it at the same time as me and I'll be in the chat to answer questions and also just to have a nice chat in general.
Welcome to episode 20 (!!) of my 10 Minute Modeling Challenge series. In this episode, I attempt to model a low poly Lava Monster that I also aim to rig with a custom armature and leg IK within the 10 minutes. I'm including some bonus material, that's why the video is quite long (28 minutes) where I modify the monster into a stone monster and and ice monster. I also do a heavy monster-like walk cycle that hopefully suits the character look and feel.

Might have been said already, but you don't have to spam L, you can just keep it down and move your mouse to the meshes you want to select. It may make your selection a bit less precise but in your case I think it wouldhave worked no problem. Even better with X-Ray enabled I think.

The time lapse videos aren't meant for new users. They are meant for experienced users to see topology and workflow quickly without being told what key to press every step of the way. I love them. In a few years, step by step videos will drive you nuts and you'll watch mostly time lapse. These videos aren't really tutorials and are just fun to watch.

Im disabled with Muscular Dystrophy. I’m often frustrated at my limitations. I love to be creative when i feel good enough to do so. Blender is free so that’s good for me since i can’t work. I open blender and immediately recognize its power, i liken it to sitting in the captains chair of a jet and looking at the control panel. Yep this thing could take me far if only i knew anything. I am a slow learner but I’m watching and re-watching your videos and picking up things i can use. It’s been encouraging. Thanks. Romans 10:9

Love the live commentary while speed modeling. Gives people who are interested in getting into 3d design a glimpse into the thought process and the work it takes. I went to school for graphic design years ago, I love this stuff but I learned rather quick that I enjoyed it as a hobby rather then something I wanted to pursue a career in. A video like this must be intimidating to someone on day one in blender or any 3d design at that. Anyway, love the video!

I love the monsters, they look like they're dancing! Also, the term you should look for when looking for a place to sell your merch is "Print On Demand" which basically just means the company will print the merch and ship it to the customer as soon as they place an order, so you don't have to worry about any of it.

I think, there are mainly two ways to react to the awe-inspiring level of proficiency displayed in this video: 1) Get a motivational kick from it to start learning more of Blender. Fast. 2) Throw a tantrum, whining "I'll never be as quick/good/awesome/... as this guy", proceeding to weep one's pillow wet. This would be the second video created by you I've tuned into. Both times I got the impression that I (Blender newbie) will learn a lot from your content and that I'd better turn off YT now to fire up Blender. The urge to start "blending" gets so strong that I hardly even finish m--- ;) Thanks a bunch for sharing!
