I know this is an older video, but this is how courses should be taught. Actual time, dedication, and relaying of the material. Dental school was an absolute pain, because professors flipped through slides with paragraphs of material, not even caring to read through them. Technology is wonderful, but it allows those in education to take a shortcut and not truly teach. So thank you! I'm trying to conceive and your videos are getting me through that two week wait!

Why is there no mention of the trophoblast differentiating into the cytotrophoblast(what actually becomes the placenta) and the synctiotrophoblast (what helps makes the placenta, secretes hCG, and invades the endometrium)?

Because he was explaining briefly he didn't go into the details :)

I just checked this video out and I think it's biology level, not med school level. I'm in med school first term and they went into that much detail. I'm sure college biology doesn't

I'm still unclear which stage between fertilization and implantation does the HCG hormone begin to be released? What stage of fertilization/implantation does the body know when to start pushing these hormones out ? is it at the moment of A,B, or C?
@LavKarri9 жыл бұрын
what is the "HCG" hormone that you mentioned here?
@AKLECTURES9 жыл бұрын
Lav Karri human chorionic gonadotropin! I talk about it in another lecture! :) its basically produced by the placenta and can be used to test for pregnancy in the first few weeks.
