Why after creating Volume 1 free space of Storage pool changed from 72 GB to 31.5 GB? He took only 20 GB. Is it because of redundancy so it must have 20 GB volume doubled ?

I would like to know whats the performance when you include parity? I ask because from what I remember performance on Windows server was horrible after you included parity. I would assume if you are tiering with NVME or SSD cache it should off set the poor parity performance.

What happens when you have to upgrade to Windows DataCenter '19 or whatever the next version is? Will you have to uncluster everything and then rejoin/recluster everything? Walk me through that scenario.

Nope,From Windows 2012 Microsoft introduce the ability to run the cluster in mixed mode. When you introduce the 2019 Server it will change the cluster to mixed mode. Once all the 2016 server have been removed . You will then upgrade the Cluster Functional level to 2019.
