Ive done this tut to the T but I can only see colours in texture paint mode and nowhere else. In layout the jacket goes through the skirt and the left collar just doesn’t exist

Do you need to manually set up an IK rig for the armature? Is there some easy...ish way to do this? I think I'm pretty good with blender but tutorials make it look a little complicated.

You can use retargeting addons or look into mixamo, autorig or rigify addons, etc. but the bottom line is, you do need a good understanding of Ik and Fk if you're serious about rigging. There's no one click solution to this especially if you're using other program models like vroid. Hope this helps. :)

​@@blender3dmagic Thank you for your answer, I've done a lot of research since posting trying to get a good grasp of it. I've known how to do armatures and FK, weight-painting, etc for a long while but doing IK has always confused me a little.

@@Dradeeus I won't be uploading rigging tutorials in the near future but I'm sure there are good tutorials out there. Try to look for simple ones that focus on the process; not the entire body riggin tutorial.

when I pass it in blender the model is gray as if it were in Texture Paint, do you know why?

You should be in material preview or rendered mode to see the texture.

whoa how you manages to import it into blender im using blender 3.0 and the model comes out all messed up and i have all the a appropiated apps like the cats plug in vrm importer

I have no problem importing into Blender 3.0. Did you change the file extension to .glb?? You don't need the vrm importer. I have none of those addons installed.

I had a question- if I wanted to make my own weapons/clothing/accessories/whatever in Blender after importing, can I emulate the same kinda anime-shaded look of something imported from vroid studio, so it looks like it fits the style?

when i import my model i have to press fix model but it makes my model have random colors and breaks some textures any idea how to fix ? :((

As I mentioned before, I'm not using any addons. You must be using some kind of addon that tries to fix the model. Why don't you disable that addon and try again? Hope this helps.

Help, when I try to change the file from vrm to glb i can't, I can only change the name not file type, it just shows a Unity icon, please help

Maybe you need to check your explorer view option so you can see the file extension. Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

To be honest, I'm not sure why. Rename vrm file to .glb and import it. You don't need any other addon.

hmm...are you pissed about the model being tris not quads?? Go into edit mode, select all, Alt J to make tris to quads. I'm sorry if my answer isn't what you expect, but I'm not sure what kind of problem you're encountering. I thought it's a fun program to try out but if it makes you pull your hair out, I'd say stay away from it. :)
