Here is my view on muscle (domestic) vs import (only Japanese). They are two difference types of cars, depending on what your looking for. It is stupid to argue which is faster, unless if your doing stock vs stock. Truth is, you can make a Honda Civic faster than a Corvette ZR1 with the right mods, but that doesn't really mean anything. That Civic will be a POS with an unstable engine and it will sound like a super fart machine. So yeah, lets compare stock vs stock cars that haven't been toyed with. Generally, your average import will be: -4 cylinder or 6 cylinder -RWD or AWD -Small engine displacement -High revs -Low horsepower and torque -Good, light chassis -Solid suspension -Great overall handling Generally, your average muscle car will be: -V8 or it isn't a muscle car, period! -RWD -Huge engine displacement -Low revs -A lot of horse power and torque -Bad or mediocre heavy chassis -Bad suspenion -Bad to mediocre overall handling Telling by what you can see, you can tell what they are meant for. Muscle cars are better at drag racing, but your average muscle car will not handle nearly aswell on a track. Imports are worse at drag racing, but excell at turns. Muscle car fanboys like to throw around: "Who cares about handling, just straight line, dur!" Well, straight line racing IS the easiest and simplest kind of racing. And, tracks show the full capability of a car. Sure, a drag race shows acceleration and speed, but it doesn't test the whole car. A track shows the power of the car, the car's chemistry with the power and the chassis, the brakes, the steering, the suspension, etc everything. Me personally, I am an American and I love both types, but calling imports "POS", "ricers", etc is ignorant. My dad has had Pontiacs, Ford, Buick, Chevy, etc and he has had nothing but serious problems go wrong with those cars. Now, he has a Jeep and that car has crazy problems aswell. Meanwhile, my mom doesn't know a clue about cars and has had 2 Japanese Nissans. She drove them 40-60 miles a day and was hard on them, but you couldn't fuck those cars up! Her Nissan right now has over 100,000 miles and has only had oil changes and a tire changes. Nothing wrong with the engine or anything. Meanwhile, with my past experiences, if you got around that mileage on an American car, you wouldn't just have to deal with an oil or tire change.

I think the Mustang Boss 302 (i think its the highest trim you can get, correct me if im wrong) is probably around 40000

This is not a false title at all, This is Round 1 of Super Street Qualifying from World Cup Finals - Import Vs Domestic. I can't help it if there where more imports entered in the class then domestic. But every car that made a pass in Round 1 of qualifying is in this video. Out of the 54 cars that attempted to qualify only 8 of them where domestics. Perhaps next year more domestics will enter the class.

Yup. Domestic have enough power to have better power to weight than imports in stock trim. When you start to modify imports usually have to shed as much weight as possible cuz they have such a power disadvantage. Me personally I will go with the domestic power cuz I like fast cars that still have things like heat and ac and a stereo. Not something found in most fast Civics.

I like imports, car power is still a money game, but imports let you reach higher power at a lower cost, muscle can further with sometimes a 2 to 5 multiple investment in terms to power to money ratio and in the top echelons the super rich have their own class of supercars that stomp on both the majority of the time.
