Matsuda is the “Jimbo Everyman”. He’s goofy, slightly stupid, but he is always genuine He felt the ultimate betrayal and acted on such emotion. Such a well written character

great video I totally agree, it's quite ironic how he's this stupid character who's looked down on a lot but he's the one to shoot down Light. It really shows how this "childish innocence" can be changed easily, similar to how Light's life completely changed when he received the death note. Although, Light wasn't "childish" Light had things going for him, he could have been like L or his father and lived a normal life as a "child" instead of a serial killer.

I *love* Matsuda. He's by far my favorite. The only thing I dislike about him was when he cheered for Light to date Takada despite knowing Light was with Misa.
