While it is unfortunate that the series had to be cut short, I completely understand. Doing animation on a series by yourself usually does take a massive toll on someone and if you don't enjoy what you are creating, than it is hard to force yourself into doing it. By forcing it to finish more than likely it wouldn't meet the standards you had for it. I can respect that it ended the way it did. Looking forward to what else you may have working on. You do great work so I know that whatever you post will be great. Btw, your OC looks awesome. Maybe sometime you can create some animation for that if you want. I think it would be sick.

I understand your decision. Working on a massive project ain't easy. It was an amazing series while it lasted. Although, I do have to give you the biggest up is how you did insanity sans, he actually gave me chills seeing any scene he is a part of. Mainly his introduction stare as he tore chara in half and him ripping out charas heart.

Its sad but i have two things to say: 1.-It would be better to just release it very slowly (like making something every day) and eventually it would be done, instead of just abruptly canceling the series at the best part.. 2.-You're not really forcing yourself to finish villian sans squad because you are still making more projects (can't you just finish it instead of making different projects?). @@foooooood This exactly, this is the same reason a lot of EA games, and other big corporate games feel soulless, and smaller indie games, like Undertale, or Cuphead feel a lot more vibrant, the companies making games like fifa are really only making it for profit, there's no motivation, no love for the games, it's just to keep the company afloat, meanwhile indie games, especially lesser well known ones (Before the time of release) feel so much more alive, because the creators actually put their heart and soul into the games, they were passionate about it, and it was something they wanted to do. Continuing the series when there's no passion behind it would just lead to something unfavorable all around.

I'm seriously surprised that I only found this video yesterday when revisiting this series. Somehow I managed to completely miss it when it first came out, quite possibly due to the fact I was busy completing my final year of college when this video was first posted. Regardless, it was heart breaking to find out this series won't be continuing, but at the same time I completely understand how you might have gotten burned out from the whole thing. Animation is so difficult and time consuming and when your heart is no longer in it, it's almost impossible to get work done. I have to admit that I am saddened about the fact that I will never find out how the story would have continued from here, since I was really interested in characters, motivations etc being a keen casual writer. I doubt you'll see this, but if you do, I'd love to know if you had the plot for the story fully written out somewhere or at least had a vague idea where the story would have gone over the next few episodes had you continued it? It would be nice to know if the story was finished/even planned a little further in some written form to give me some closure for this series, though obviously I don't expect you to share anything specific with me. I just would like an answer on whether or not you had a finished story thought up of. Finally I just want to wish you well with your future projects, Undertale or otherwise. Many animators on KZbin have quit animating Undertale recently and I've noticed people are starting to become a little agitated in the comment section as a result. Just wanna say that I support you and your animations no matter what you choose to do going forward. Animate what you enjoy, not what other people want and always try to have fun with it :3. I usually have to put it aside for months and afew even for years because not only do I struggle with many art blocks, I already have a heavy schedule balancing other things, but it's tiring for me at times. I'll have to admit that in terms of quality and animations, yes it could possibly be better than both of these series. For story writing, it doesn't really work when everything is fanon. Some characters would feel out of place and you could imagine them being held by a gunpoint if they are forced to do things than they normally would do. As an example: Sixbones. What the hell is he doing there in the intro of villian sans squad?

Honestly, it wasn't surprising for me to hear this announcement, considering there wasn't an upload for 9 months. Here's what you should have done Yamata41 in case you're doing another series. Instead of putting yourself on force on a project, just work on speedpaint videos or something else random where you pretty much enjoy while still making Undertale content. It's a way to keep the community fresh and show that not all hope is lost, hell you could even stream on Twitch or on KZbin to show something you're working and hire moderators. That's how animation creators like Jael and Camilla do and they still work on their series till this day. Animating a fight with huge details and quality is tough for sure, especially when you have to deal with real life stuff and that's why you need to be in more touch with the community. You lacked the communications with them and you could have enjoyed making animations, because you won't have to be all alone and getting bored you know. How about a Discord server? KZbin comments and such won't be enough. Also, if you knew it was no longer enjoyable, you could have announced it way earlier. On the community posts, we are shown Dust Sans's face twice. At the very least just mention what you are working on and also, it's been 4 months since we received any community posts. Finally, tell me the reason why the links where we can support you no longer exists. It seems unnecessary to me, because they are the reason you can keep on going. Feel free to reply to my comment if I got anything wrong here, as this is just a constructive criticism towards Yamata41 and I'm not hating him or anything.

I agree- honestly motivation is hard to come by whenever it comes to huge projects like these. I've seen countless animations/comics pay the price for it just like this one and its unfortunate- while I don't blame them at all. There decisions to drop them is 100% valid. No some should force themselves into something they don't enjoy, cuz even that would negatively effect these projects. But being able to find a balance in the work would help not only the animation but it helps you personally not completely drain your self.

I discovered this series rather recently, so even tho I may not be an OG fan, I'm sad that this got canceled. But totally understandable. You shouldn't be forced to do something you no longer enjoy. Wish you the best

Oh no, the project of a series that I loved with its incredibly relative story and incredible animation, I understand if drawing the parts and coloring it is exhausting and obviously the decision is up to the creator, well you can't force anyone to do that I don't want to but I do hope you continue to grow with encouragement :D

Don't worry dude! A project is better to be made with love, passion, motivation and effort rather than to be made like as if it's your house chore or duty. Though it is kind of sad we'd probably never get to see what story the series has gotten, nor will we see the ending of how the series goes. 1. It's his decision if he will continue the series or not. 2. His patreon supporters might have understand that he isn't enjoying finishing the series, so it could be fine with them. 3. Even tho you can say a lot of people are disappointed and sad that the series has been canceled do you really think he would have the motivation to finish if he doesn't even enjoy making it anymore? It's his account and decision not ours, so it's best to respect his decision about it.

Ok I still respect your decision but I have some ideas that I think would be better then canceling the series 1: figure out why you don’t enjoy making the series then try to find a way to enjoy it 2: hire someone else to finish making the series 3: work on the series when you have nothing else to do I’m not mad at you or disappointed with you if you don’t want to continue making the series you don’t have to

@@АртёмВидерман на самом деле да, однако такой огромный проект требует огромных ресурсов и времени, а ямато работает один. Просто даже на 0,5 секунд серии можно потратить 2 часа. Анимирование-очень сложная работа. И всё же не стоит отчаиваться, ведь он начал новый проект "Андертейл:Последнее дыхание. Эхо". Будем надеяться, что он(проект) оправдает ожидания.
