Love the video. I don't get why alot of people don't do anything about protection. I'm happy to see that there are resin artists that do take care of themselves and talk about it

The fact I tend to not use protective gear is why I won't ever post videos online. I don't want to encourage anyone being an idiot like me. Having said that I'm doing better wearing gloves now I've found some that fit tightly but without breaking. And I do use a respirator with any that list it in their ppe instructions.

I just tip my silicone cups upside down after I use them ( I have the silicone mats lol) and the resin pours out and is Easley pulled once it sets. Cam turn them inside out an use a wipe then to clear. That's just a technique I found easy to use though.

Since you first told us how to clean up, I much prefer using the non-alcohol (and unscented) baby wipes. You also benefited our local Humane Society, who now uses them in their big adoption van. They had plenty of toxic cleanup options, but this became their go-to for those 360 mile trips to the big adoption center in Portland, Oregon. So the animals in their crates don’t have to smell the awful stuff for all those miles. You never know where your good help will land, thank you for sharing ☺️🙏🐾.

Thank you for telling people about the fading alcohol inks! I get so sad for people who have no idea the lovely petri art and such will often look like vomit in just a few weeks to months. So disappointed when I realized that the hard way. Always useful info 😁

Thank You Steve for showing everyone simple ways to make their resin experience safe, fun, effective and economical. I learn something new with every video you share. You also remind me of some of the common mistakes that can be avoided with a little patience. Most of all you remind me to have fun and be myself. You are truly appreciated.

Such a large amount of valuable information. I've gone back to watch your videos on PPE many times, I'm still learning from them. What you showed today is so useful to know. Especially about WHY NOT to use a torch... The camera even picked up the torch causing the resin to smoke. People sometimes forget that resin is flammable!! Thanks again for teaching some and reminding others of us of proper resin safety!!! 🎶🎶🎶📽🎥💖💋

Steve, only kick back should be good things! You are an incredible and smart teacher. You damaging your own things to show what can go wrong only hours to show how much you care and want others to know so they don't make the same mistakes you have made. Just remember Steve, not every student will understand at that moment, but later on when it has come to realization, they will think back to when the teacher took the time to educate them and say, oooh now I get it! He knew what he was talking about and I should have paid attention and listened. And Steve, you are a teacher!

I'm just a beginner but I've been watching tutorials for almost a year and yet there's still be info in this. I'll try wiping out the silicone cups right away. I've left them to cure until the resin was set enough for demolding and then turned them inside out to clean out the bits. That's worked well so far for me but maybe I DID reduce their lifetime...

Great tutorial. It's a shame you had to waste money to show these great tips but I really appreciate the fact that you've done it. So many presenters are so blasè with their torch, I would never have guessed how harmful they can be. Equipment and tools are too expensive to mistreat in this way. 👍 for the PPE warning. Again you see so many risking their health you start to think the danger is exaggerated. Thank you.!.
