Canadians are raised to not hate and to embrace diversity (including being taught this in all daycares/schools). People need to look at all sides. India has a 29% unemployment rate amongst it's own graduates. One of the big reasons why young people are leaving India in droves. Plus less than 50% of the 950 million working-age population in India is employed (compared to over 70% in other emerging markets). Amongst the Indian working group, many are self-employed and contain “unpaid helpers in family enterprises”. India has one of the highest emigration rates in the world. As many zero in on education as a way to gain access to a western country? Did international students/families pay into Canadian taxes all their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No. Plus Canada did NOT tell international students/parents to spend/risk their life savings on a "Canadian dream". Canada did NOT tell international students to borrow money. Canada did NOT promise international students work. Canada did NOT promise international students PERMANENT RESIDENCY. Meanwhile freelance agents have been operating in an unbridled market in India. Often by painting a distorted picture of what students can receive from Canada. Plus in recent years, a new type of recruitment has cropped up via foreign nationals as many "edu-tech" have created online platforms to connect millions of potential students with the recruiters. The sub-agents have absolutely no no direct connection with the Canadian college. Plus the college has no no ability to control their conduct. Indian sham operations abused/abusing Indian students in person &/or via massive advertising … PRIMARILY in their native language that most Canadians do NOT understand. They paint a false picture in the minds of their own people (of what Canada could or would or should offer Indian students)! Canadians are seeing Indians protesting & waving their flags on Canadian streets making demands. Because they may not have enough credentials to remain in Canada? And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires? Why isn't there repetitive crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students making demands? They're in Canada too. And Canadians are seeing Indian protestors carrying signs telling Canada (one of the most tolerant countries on the planet) to end it's racism (by not deporting)!!! Really angering Canadians. And even though Canada is being falsely/unfairly blamed for too much, Canada has yet to deport students like crazy (but likely will soon). Instead Canada has been trying trying to find balance of who can stay vs go. While also trying to fix anything Canada did wrong. Create a better future. Why? Because Canadians actually care about doing so for both Canadians and international students. Canada's own are also victims of the $ greedy Indian 'agents' who misrepresented Canadian PR. Due to a severe lack of homes and entry jobs in Canada partially due to Indian STUDENTS and agents very creatively swarming all post-secondary SCHOOLS, with vast majority fighting for PR versus returning home without it when SCHOOLING ends! Regardless of their qualifications or Canada's needs. Many asking for asylum too (which Indians rarely qualify for). Canada PR has NEVER been tuition purchasable. Questions: ⦁ What is India doing about any of this? After Canada told India to halt Ghost Consulting? Indians themselves say their Indian leaders are often corrupt & deceitful. Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Many in or near Brampton Ontario, and Surrey British Columbia, where most Indians have lived. Coincidence? Schools that Canada is now shutting down. ⦁ What about all the social media videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a shirt? Promoting Canadian visas & permits & schools & jobs etc. etc.. Videos not only posted hourly but rarely in English or French. With very rare input from Canadian citizens. ⦁ What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? ⦁ What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? ⦁ What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by, and for, foreign nationals? Some home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Often these 'landlords' also cram 20 students in a small home and charge each way too much for rent. ⦁ What about Indian nationals buying local businesses then repeatedly putting Indians only in the top tier positions (while also changing familiar work practices)? BC & Ontario are also outlawing the Caste System. ⦁ What about the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada? Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) even though it all stems from their ancestral home. Why???????? ⦁ What about the Canadian government launching investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent? Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border. Canadians are so so so not used to all this!! Do Indians care about Canadians suffering too? Or do they primarily want to point fingers at the Canadian government etc., when many things weren't in Canada's control (yet)? Why should Canadians pay for what Indians did/do to Indians? Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Now everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this).

@bhawanadaswani2615Ай бұрын
I paid over $40k for a 2-year diploma here. You might not realize this as you've never lived in those countries, but your government actually heavily promoted studying as a direct pathway to permanent residency. Your government DID promise us this. Looking back, they probably saw this as a way to help boost the economy but now realized how it's affecting the job and housing market. I get that there's a lot of us here, but if your government didn't make these promises, pretty much none of us would be here. I chose to study in Canada over the US because we've always seen Canadians as the nicer group among the two, one who's open to diversity, who wouldn't just ask us to go back to our own countries. We saw that your government welcomed immigrants, which gave us a sense of safety. There was a time they actually thanked us for helping boost their economy. I am having second thoughts now. I know you guys might lump us all into one group, but we are actual people. I left my family and friends, pretty much everyone and everything I've ever known behind to live here. It was the scariest thing I've ever done in my life, but I knew I had to do this to have a fresh start and just be away from all the hurt and abuse I was dealing with. I was so relieved to be here that I actually cried the second I stepped foot here. I actually began dreaming again. But now I feel so stupid for ever thinking life would get better. Now that the government sees this as a problem, sees us as a problem, it just feels like we're all just being thrown in the trash. No one cares. We are not needed anymore, so we can just go back where we came from.

That's a very crazy decision. It's an insult for the Canadian University and Community College professors and instructors if they let their students pass and graduate if they don't speak and comprehend english well. Almost all Canadian certificates, diploma and degrees have english communication courses as part of their program.

@studyliveexplorecaАй бұрын
Well, its easy for you to say “get out” coz you probably never experience to be an international student, or even study abroad? you cannot generalize that all students here are not financially prepared, and just here to work partime! Many students don’t work 20 max per week, because they have to priortize their studies, I was one of them. I left my son back home to study here, when I was still an IS, I paid my own tuition fee, i never used any social assistance coz I thought to myself that’s only for Canadians, I even donated in food bank, I volunteered while I was an IS, and I took my studies very seriously to the point that I had to stay up late and finish my dues in school until 9pm! I did not do those things for no reason. I had a bigger goal! Let’s cut the BS, most students who are studying in Canada is not just here to get the credential but also to get the PGWP to gain Canadian experience to get higher points in Express Entry. The goverment literally promotes on their site “work or live after you graduate”, so what is that for? To lure people? After milking them during the pandemic, you just simply say “get out”? hmmmm wth. 😅 I mean understad we are experiencing crisis here, but it sounds like a scam to me? Don’t you think? The students should’t be the only one to suffer here - but also the government, they have to be accountable too! Here, the promotion is still on, check it yourself -www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/after-graduation.html We don’t mind changing the rules for new students, but common its not fair for people who are almost done, - it’s too late for them! Imagine the sacrifices that they had to go through just to be done with school. These people are not demanding for pgwp, they are hoping for fair resolution to be made. I am already a PR in Canada I am not personally affected, but I still show some empathy and kindness to these people because I couldn’t imagine the stress they’re facing right now, they felt misled by the PGWP opportunities, hopefully you do the same.
