No you are not allowed to work before your program started. Hard to say if and what the consequences are. Just don't do it ;)

3 weeks is not that long yet. As long as you submitted it completely you should be good. You can always contact IRCC too.

Hi Mam. Would you able to help me with my case? I started my first term of MBA at one school on the last day of my first term, I got a job. And I transferred to another school, and got the enrollment letter, too. I thought it was a break and continued working till my new school started; the gap is around 1.5 months. I thought, and I was also informed by my friends that it was considered a break. However, I have found through the IRCC website recently, that one should not work while switching schools. I am utterly confused. I don't know how to file PGWP. Will it be considered seriously by IRCC or an explanation letter will suffice? Thanks in advance.

All you can do is apply for your PGWP and see what happens. You can't change the past;)

The date it was issued should count. You might be able to get it from your school directly in advance. I was able to download mine online.

I came to Canada with a 3-year advanced diploma in 2022, and the study permit I got for this one is valid until April 2024. I changed my program to a 2-year diploma, and it was supposed to end in April 2023. But unfortunately, I failed one course in my final semester; that specific course was only available from January to April. So I had to wait 8 months for that course since student advisors told me it was only available in January. Will it affect my Pgwp application? My study permit was still valid.

Hello po, I just wanna ask something. My case is thay i started working a day before my school starts, i know i violated the rule but what will happen to my application after graduation? Will i be deported with my spouse and banned to enter Canada? Is there any way to fix these? I still have a year though but im panicking now. Please give some advice..

Hm that's obviously not good but you can't change it anymore. Just make sure that you don't violate any other rules from now on and you'll most likely be fine. But I am not the IRCC haha

Hi MC. I just wanna ask about my husband's situation. His last day of the program was dec 14, 2023 and most of his subjects have already grades on his student portal except one subject which is incomplete. They were required to submit the report again for that subject so the grade is to follow. My concern was is he can still work full time until the final grades was released? I am worried because in your video was can work part time only. Thank you.
