A quick tip regarding pen pressure in Clip Studio, you can set individual settings under each brush, but you can also set a global pressure curve for everything. Simply open up a small canvas(500x500px), then under File>Pen Pressure Settings(fourth option from the bottom) will bring up a pressure mapping function where it will ask you to draw on the canvas, and will create a curve specific to your hand. Might help to bridge the gap in feeling between csp and ps.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by CSP's ABR importer (especially with the color dynamics). It's not 100% perfect (yet) but it's the best v1 of any ABR importer I've ever seen. It's like 95% there! Personally, I'm just hoping for an "Initial Direction" option for the pen rotation. Some Greg Rutkowski brushes use that and it emulates that "overhand grip" you see a lot of traditional pencil artists using.

The brushes that needed to be tweaked for me were things like grass brushes where the pattern has to go a specific way. Even if the brush doesn't import right, you can usually fix it. The one type of brush that does not work is 'dual brush'. I hope CELSYS will fix that. The brush feature is really good though. I've extensively tested it.

CSP's inability to show the brush shape/angle preview is really obnoxious when you're trying to paint with an angled brush. I tend to use "palette knife" style brushes when painting backgrounds and rocks and stuff and I just can't do it in CSP.

I know this is old, but you can actually see the brush shape/angle by changing them in the preferences settings under "cursor" and "cursor details". 9:36 You can do that with Photoshop too, make sure to start PS first and then start OBS. If PS still doesn't appear - click the "cancel" option (it creates the source anyways), click the Window Capture source and above it ( Window: ) choose the PS window. There probably are a lot of "[Photoshop.exe]: (null)" options, well; it is one of those. It's buggy for some reason, but it works.

CSP is only a one time payment on certain devices, they do have trials as well. It should tell if you if its one time or monthly. (I think Monthy is around $15 or around $4 i live in the US so that might change depending on you currency.
@mcaro59083 жыл бұрын
You can adjust both global and per brush pen pressure settings in CSP and you can reassign your hotkeys :L ...you can do it for most programs, often default shortcuts do not cater to the individual needs (what tools you use most often and what is comfortable for your hand position on the keyboard) ...there are behaviors native to the programs that you might want to take advantage of (in CSP you can assign hotkey to specific brushes within a category to cycle through them or pressing and hold a key to do a temporary swap to a different tool without needing to hit another key to swap back), I suggest taking some time to familiarize yourself with program settings to improve your experience with using the programs x.x
