Stock 2014 Nissan 370Z 1/4 Mile Pass

Me and my buddy went to our local track to run his "new" 370Z for the first time. The car is all stock, just like it came from the factory. We were there to learn and have fun and we did just that. Average we were seeing was about a 13.4ish. His best pass ended up being a 13.2. Weather temp was about 50 degrees.

I got a 2018 sitting in my front yard that is the Touring Edition. It sounds nowhere near as aggressive as that. Tell your bro to check the buying agreement (if he still has it). I'm postive he has the sport package/exhuast on his car.

He checked all of that and was assured by the dealership, his auto mechanic and ourselves that it is the stock exhaust. He was look into a full system and intake right before it was totaled a few months after this video. But nothing was aftermarket on the car except for the radio receiver and a back up cam. Cross my heart hope to die stick a needle in my eye.

Nice runs, 13.4 is about right. Here at Cecil county dragway usually 13.4 to 13.9 stock. People will argue this all day, but the autos were faster every time here. Could be the divers every single time on different nights, but to me it seems autos are quicker. I raced a 2011 manual with my bone stock Genesis coupe track edition and beat him all 3x. He should have won i think.

There is a thing called altitude, humidity, and temperature besides the driver that can cause huge variations in 1/4 mile times. Tracks timing systems are pretty reliable. The difference between my area in west texas vs south texas at sea level, is a full second quicker quarter miles.

This looks like a base model. I believe base models are 255's in the back. Sport pkg is 275 in the back and Nismo's 285's

Bolt on and tune those Z's can run under 13s.

Wanna get a better time? Easy, don’t race with a passenger. That 150-200lbs would easily get you a .1-.2 in the 1/4 mile. Also work on your launch.

@@MXvsATV144I never believed this before but it’s true, I experienced it first hand. My Trophy has a 1.6 Turbo inline 4 with 260bhp and it’s pretty quick if I’m in it alone. With a passenger it’s ALOT slower. Meanwhile my friends 3.0 BMW M4 doesn’t care if it’s full of people or just one driver😂

The elevation is 26ft above sea level lol so that means Density Altitude was perfect that day

Erik Tan yeah it's all stock. It was my buddy's car but he totaled it like a month ago in some standing water on the road. I'll have to ask him if he kept his slips from that day and if I have it I'll post it for you. We played Forza and watched a bunch of videos and it seems we were right around the average. He should be getting something similar so when he does well go back and have some more stuff soon.

Touring models with sport and tech package like mine are actually pretty nice. The ride is a bit firm but for a sports car it's pretty comfortable

He ended up totaling this car and getting a new one. After getting a newer one he realized how basic these were. And he's not a camera guy so he didn't really want to be on camera. I just tagged along and brought my camera with me. It was impromptu.
