it doesnt matter what ball they throw. Theyre going straight up the back of the ball anyway so it wont hook, if theres no oil on the lane the ball will hook no matter what u throw if you add rotation to the ball the same pricinple applies for some pba bowlers who throw urethane or even reactive balls at spares, simply because they can throw an almost knuckle ball (no rotation or revs) so it wont hook no matter what

@@Legendarychrismusic theyre gonna throw it straight no matter what you just cant hook a ball on a lane with no oil, if you try it will hook the second it touches the lane. best case scenario is the ball will just hook 1 time. And once again, go straight to the pocket

synthetic lanes are very strong, they can handle a couple games worth of shots with no oil just fine. They're not lofting it or doing anything that'll damage the lane

Without computer designed high density cores, a variety of coverstocks, fake lanes, plenty of oil, and gymnastic pins, they do suck. There's a reason nobody did it until after the BPAA controlled USBC began approving score inflating equipment.
