I remember fighting in a raid against Zygarde where we demolished it! I had a Togetic that had Follow Me and another person had a mon (I think it was Machoke or Crustle) with Wide Guard. They kept spamming Wide Guard and I spammed Follow Me. So, all of its spread moves were protected against and I was immune to all of it's single target attack moves. And then our other teammates could slowly whittle it down little by little until it was defeated!

And with how bulky Togekiss is, even if it went for Bind, you'd just be fine. Incredible luck there. My group was a ragtag group of madmen- I had the Hitmonchan setting up Hail, one of my friends had picked up Wide Guard Kingler, another got Weather Ball Frosmoth, and we had an AI Flareon that just straight-up refused to die, it was actually incredible.

You are lucky the ai either does nothing or helps the boss. I remember we where going up against a water type (forgot who) and Electabuzz was the only one who could defeat it. But the ai kept spamming helping hand on my or my friends pokemon who had nothing for the water type. And I think we either lost that battle or only had 1 heart left because the ai was so bad the boss knocked most of us out before Electabuzz decided to use an electric move.

@@thedogester Same, except I was on solo. It definitely wasn't skill tbh. The only reason I won on my first try was because I was lucky enough to have an Abamasnow, and one of the NPC's had a Kingler with wide guard. It might just be me, but I noticed that the AI for NPC's in Dynamax Adventures is better. The NPC's make pretty good choices when choosing rental Pokémon, and I noticed that they make less dumb moves than they do in Max Raid Battles. Most of the time, they won't just spam stat boosting moves, and they actually attack.

@@faradaybed7805 Blacephalon is a joke; his moveset is like 3 varied typing attacks of fire, ghost... grass? And taunt. To make things more laughable, his HP pool and defenses make him an easy 1-hit KO candidate. If you bring anything that is supereffective against a fire/ghost type, you're good (and there is a LOT to choose from). The only reason Zygarde is a pain to fight is he has like base 108 HP, and Power Construct transforms him into having a base 216 HP minus any base HP he lost before (So at half health transformation, Zygarde has over 150 base HP to work with on top of potential double attacks). Let's also not talk about how only Fairies and Ice types are effective against him, which aren't bulky enough to survive the constant spam of Land's Wrath and Thousand arrows.

As someone who shiny hunted it and got a shiny zygarde, here are some key points from a competitive standpoint. If you’re smart, it’s not such a difficult raid. 1: Have ice types, obviously the best offensive type against it. At the very least look for something that has ice moves. 2 (arguably tied with #1): Have a Pokémon with wide guard. Mantine, pelliper, and kingler for example all have wide guard. This protects you and your teammates from moves that hit all of you, in other words the moves lands wrath and thousand arrows. 3: Do NOT try to take zygarde down right away. Try to set yourself up and lower Zygarde’s health while keeping it over half HP. This prevents zygarde from removing your stat boosts, transforming into stronger and bulkier complete form, regaining health, and powering up its moves. All these actions only happen when zygarde is under half HP at the end of the turn. So set up so you don’t let him survive once he gets under half HP as the weak version. 4: An excellent support Pokémon that weakens zygarde’s stats or boost partners, or can heal. This works in line with point 3. My best recommendations are alcremie with decorate, ribombee with draining kiss, pollen puff, and fake tears. 5: Look at the path in advance from the start. Look for the Pokémon mentioned above and ice types. Even if the route to these Pokémon are more difficult and you lose a life before Zygarde, it is worth it. If you don’t see ice types or the Pokémon mentioned, look for fairy. 6: Still a net positive, but the weakest overall - grab any other fairy types you can if you aren’t packed with ice types or the pokemon previously mentioned. Hope it’s enough with your teammates.

@@darthgengar2047 There are quite a few Pokémon that still get good ice moves, like hitmontop and triple axel, jellicent and icy wind, or barbaracle and blizzard. Sometimes a Pokémon is ice when it shows a different type (like piloswine says ground but obviously he’s also ice), so you have to be quick and look at the silhouettes. Nevertheless, you can still win even if you don’t have ice attacks. Ice moves just make it super safe and go fast. Point 3 is your best bet if you don’t have a good matchup

When I finally caught Zygarde, I managed to do it; Without getting any pokemon knocked out in the adventure. Once. 2 pokemon weak against Zygarde and the rest being ice-types. All teammates being ai. And to top it all off I defeated Zygarde before he even got the chance to power construct thanks to my Abomasnow's crit avalanche halfway through Zygarde's hp. To get revenge for giving me so much crap, as an act of humiliation, I let Zygarde stay in a nest ball whilst having the biggest evil grin. Boy that was satisfying...
