Impossible shots? Super windy 262 yards shooting .22 ammo

I'm going to say the squirrels are pretty safe in Norway if they are 262 yards down range.... on a windy day.😂 Thanks for the entertainment. I enjoy your English and the imperial references. JimE

Now that had to be fun any how wind or not. I got to try a magazine full of those remington gold hunter 40gr in my 10/22 and it has promise of being good

I believe it`s discontinued. A wiever from Australia informet me that they sell them in 50 pack there. I bought these a few years back.

Nice shooting sir! The last time I shot 200 I made a mess of everything 😅 learned a lot about mirage that day! 262 is a ways away! Once again, nice job!❤❤❤

Thank you! It was fun, and I wish I had access to even longer ranges. Mirage is usually not the biggest problem where I live, more like the lenses get covered in snow🥶

@thegunviking it was probably 95° the day I tried. I also have learned a lesson about letting your ammo get hot by dumping it out on a scalding hot bench! I think that has lead to most of my accuracy woes!😅

Eley Standard is not discontinued in Australia but now sold in the usual box of 50 like all other Eley.22lr ammo.😊

I guess Eley didn`t want to be in the «bulk-business», but rather be seen as a premium brand. I rather like Eley, but they have a bit high ftf percentage.

Nice demonstration as always, but to clarify: You said you were holding about half a mil for the wind-? I ran some figures for SK Standard Plus from one of my rifles under “standard” atmospheric conditions and with a 30 miles per hour 3:00 o’clock wind at 262 yards, my Applied Ballistics shows a windage requirement of nearly 7 mils. Did you already dial some value for the wind?

I`m trying to remember how much I had dialed. It is a few weeks since I filmed this video. I did dial, but I cant remember how much. sorry.

Have you tried the new Eley Ultra? Other here in the states it's only gotten bad reviews. Supposedly Eley sent a bad batch over here. Great shooting in that wind.

Hi! No, It has not been available in Norway. I have also seen some tests on it, and it does not look good. Time will show if it was just one lot, or if the consept is wrong all together.

I think this is sold in the US as Eley Target (yellow box) I think its possibly the same as Eley Practice (green box) maybe I'm wrong. I don't see any bulk boxes of Eley in the US.

The Eley Practice we could buy here was with the grey look, a la Tenex/Match. It's sometimes hard to know because they rebrand them for different markeds.
