Love this series. Seeing how many tries it takes Jonny to land these tricks with full knowledge that they can be done really makes you appreciate Rodney's persistence in inventing these tricks without the knowledge from others before him that they were in fact possible. It would be easy after 100's of unsuccessful tries to conclude they couldn't be done if not for Rodney showing us they can.

This proves how Rodney is really the God of Skateboarding. He did it 11/2 Flip to Casperslide, not to mention the casperslide 360 Flip Out.. Johnny even had a hard time landing the basic casperslide combo.

I landed this trick the first time I tried it and even jumped out of it with a 720 flip landing it super clean. The only part that sucked out of the whole run was waking up and realising it was all a dream 😒

I've done a few Casper slides in my day. It took forever and a day to learn and had to put grip tape on the underside of my tail which made it very difficult to do tail slides but the reward of execution of the Casper slides was well worth it. I eventually got good enough at them that I removed the grip tape from the underside of the tail. They feel so incredible when they're landed and rolled away. I literally had tears in my eyes when I landed it for the first time! It literally took me 2 weeks to actually roll away from it. Eventually the attempts meet your tail squared instead of rounded off and it makes it someone easy to slide them because when your tail is rounded off to actually the zig zag someone when you're sliding it so it's hard to continue the slide

Amazing dude! Two tips - you might want to try physically melting the wax onto the concrete. And also - a quick dab of silicone spray - like tyre shine - over the wax. Helps it slide better and not judder and want to dig in, meaning you need to counter balance and be put off balance.

This video resurrected some hope. I skated hard in the 90s, one day in 95 I tried this and the boardslide version about 50 times each, best I could get was the board flipped over and in Casper position, but dead stop every time. Gave up on it that day, gave up on the Primo after less than 10 attempts. I wish we had videos lile this back then, honest vids that show you that even the best skaters in the world have to try hard tricks like these 100s of times, and then only a few can do it. I thought I just didn't have the natural talent for it. Now maybe I'll start practicing again. Maybe. I'm almost 40, I don't bounce anymore. Hit the pavement like a wet sandbag.

I love how you're not getting angry as some of the blokes, throwing boards around and breaking them 'cause they can't flip them... The board is just wood with wheels, the rider makes it spin right or wrong. Not getting angry on the piece of wood and actually thinking about what you are doing wrong can bring a lot more improvement. Hope other people learn this from you!

Like I remember: Casper Slide 1 1/2 Kickflip to Casper Slide Casper Slide 360 Flip out Casper Slide 180 revert (while sliding!) Casper Tailslide (I don't know if it the correct name) Of course he put the Casper Slide in a Combo Line... I would have claimed at least a dozen of those hahaha. Naw when I was 14 I was starting to get alright. Landed my first kick flip, heal flip, and 360 flip ( which I found easier than the heal flip) Than I hurt my ankle under flipping a kick flip. And I was never the same. It was all mental. I could never get the fear of twisting my ankle again under the board like the last time and coming down on the board with my body. So I gave up. That was 16 years ago. Ive always wondered what if I kept going with it?

I use to skate so much growing up and i got decent vert. One day i went to 5050 a rail and ended up with it in my leg..i quit after that 9 years ago. Your channel makes me regret it and how good it felt to ride.
