I know the feeling of having a family, a gutted out house and struggling to get trades to turn up to finish the works to let us crack on. Hi Blaine, enjoy watching you skim. A couple questions for you. I'm in the States, Massachusetts south shore coast. When we plaster, we flank the seams over the tape and fill the beads first, after which when dry, then we skim two coats over the entire surface. I understand your plaster may be a bit different than what we have over here, but is there a reason you just skim straight away over everything and not bother to flank the seams first? I've searched online for the ingredients in the plaster you use, in order to compare to what we use here. Second question is on the board you use. We have both drywall and plaster board here in the US. Drywall requires just the seams and corners to be mudded, then sanded. It's different from veneer plaster. The plaster board, which is blue here or purple for moisture resistant board, is skimmed with veneer plaster. I do both types of finishing, but greatly prefer plastering, as it looks and feels better, as well as no sanding. Thanks for your videos, keep them coming and skim on! Steve H.

has anyone ever tried to roll multi-finish plaster on the wall (using a paint roller) rather than using a hawk & trowel??? i've seen a few videos where this has been done with jointing compounds (similar to easyfill) followed by a flatten with a stainless steel spat & was thinking if the same could be done with multi-finish. i know its not the 'normal way' to apply multi-finish here in the UK - but would love to hear if anyone has tried it.

Nice video and your health looks good. Except, perhaps you just don't know it yet, and God winks at our times of ignorance, but Saturday is actually the Sabbath of the Ten Commandments. Jesus died on Friday and the Bible says that the next day was the Sabbath (Mark 15:42). And Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My Commandments." (John 14:15). And Jesus says in the Fourth Commandment, "Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy, Six days shall you labour and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God, in it you shall do no work..." (Exodus 20:8-11). But perhaps you didn't know before now. And we all learn, Jesus teaches us step by step. What matters is what we do now that we know. Wishing you all the best.

You can do favours all your life for friends and family when you have a trade but the walk of life they tread very rarely gives them the opportunity to return a favour so I find you can be a busy fool...... And the older you get you realise it...... Don't mean to sound a scrooge but its FACT.......
