I mean, he was on this well after he had started his BS with the girls, which had started as soon as 2019 for some of them. Even at the stage this interview had taken place he'd already acted unforgiveably and with maliciously selfish intent. I fully feel for any of his victims who have seen any of this, seeing him portray himself as a man who always tries to do good and uplift others using his platform, when hes done the exact opposite and was using said platform to exploit. There might very well be psychological help required for the dude, but my hopes for recovery and getting better go fully to his victims. He can rot. Edit: just a vent btw, not an attack. Idk if it came across as such so thought I'd clarify. Dude's content was inspiring as someone who has been a part if the hobby for so long. To hear it was all lies, delegation and exploitation was hard. All the best.

Having a DM as seasoned and accomplished as Arcadum in the PC seat showed that he’s gotta let someone else DM for him too sometimes. One of the things that makes Dr. K such a powerful DM is that he has a language proficiency for “Gamer”, and is able to meet them where they are and use metaphors and imagery that will better resonate with his PCs. Every time Dr. K rolled a nat 20 with his stories, observations, and explanations i got shivers “I’m the DM, but you’re the PC so you get to choose” Thank you for being this community’s DM, Dr. K. He obviously didn't and constantly overwrote any sense of remorse with a "feeling of duty" to keep pushing forward. Duty is just an euphemism for denial so "salvage" his image in his self-awareness. Like he LITERALLY explains all the drama and why it happened at 1:07:00 xD. His persona was many things but most likely not fake.

Man... I really respected this guy, enjoyed his work and thought of him like a genuine and honest person. Even more after this interview was posted. Just how wrong you can be... Now it seems that he was so calculated in what he was presenting. I don't doubt in his love for DnD. But DnD is great not just because of DM's creation and guiding, but that wholesome community around that world, players, artists, designers and people affected by it in any way. And how can you inspire anyone with manipulation and dishonesty. And he could have addressed some of the struggles, that maybe caused his now known behaviour to escalate further, before even more people were hurt. Not even just here on stream, he could have done it privately afterwards. But he didn't. He just got his reassurence. And that is sad and disappointing. In a psychological sense, which i enjoy to explore and to observe, and for it's educational value, every dr K interview is joy to watch. But this one especially hits differently now. Who knows, in some time in future maybe we'l get another one with him. Not to promote his redeemed pitty ass in any mean, his public carrier is for sure over, but maybe dr K will get his raid boss in this one after all. Not surprisingly, they wouldn't come to be so obvious, wouldn't they... Best wishes to all of you, keep up a good work dr K, keep helping and inspiring people. ❤️💪

Fantastic talk! I really hope Arcadum finds a way to dig into his feelings and vent them in a safe way. In my experience, letting feelings come out as they arise, even if it means crying often or randomly, absolutely alleviates internal suffering in the long run.

I absolutely love Arcadum. I really hope he gets to deal better with these feelings and his past. He is the loveliest person I have almost ever seen interact with others on Twitch, and his stories are amazing. He also showed here how insightful he is, and how it can still be hard to deal with these kinds of issues even if you have all the insight in the world. I love Arcadum and Dr. K both, and this interview was amazing.

@fengyuan78384 жыл бұрын
Damn, if I was in that kind of situation I don't think I would have the strength to stand up like Arcadum has done. Arcadum wants to be to others, the Dad that introduced DnD and saved him. But unfortunately life rolls differently, he's more like the friends house that helped him get away from the negativity. Like how Arcadum found the key (DnD) that rescued him from the negativity that plagued him then, others need to do the same, otherwise it's only a temporary escape. Props and kudos to Arcadum for creating a expansive and gorgeous world that people can find sanctuary in, because escaping is already hard, and having a healthy way of escaping is even harder.

as someone who struggles with impostor syndrome a lot, this is so helpful. I also only found out what the term was a couple of months ago. Whenever i thought "you don't deserve this, this is too good for you, it's going to be taken away from you once people know how inadequate you are", my immediate response was to always work 3x harder but the thoughts never went away 😢

Watching this after Destiny's breakdown of the recent drama, and imposter syndrome is such a typical thing for him to focus on - how better to have an expert affirm that you ARE good enough
@joenap173 жыл бұрын
No joke he was straight lying about who he was the whole time fam. Putting on a persona and acting out a character like in one of his games rather than his true rotten self. He's using the same tone of voice he uses for narrating his games instead of talking normally. Good news is this can be used against him later if he pretends to reform citing a shrink. We now have proof he's a good enough liar to fool a licensed therapist.
@tamikuru79363 жыл бұрын
@@joenap17 I don't know how you can say that except for being in denial. This whole imposter syndrom leads to a very strong need for self-affirmation. Being lied to as a child also feeds into a perception where everyone lies to you wich ends up in a very strong need for affirmation to even start "trusting" anyone. All in all combined he probably had to constantly push for sexual feedback because that would be the only extreme enough thing to suppress all of his doubt/imposter feelings. Do you even know how much men make their value depend on female affirmation? Like you don't go work for your personal freedom. You go work to support a whole family. Why the fuck do you think are gold-digger-memes so popular?
