These attys were so under prepared, asking Judge for time to look up case law while in the middle of questing a witness, This defendant should get his $ back. They didn't even try. Jury had no choice but the convict.

My son had the same issues. I also had a hard time finding the right treatments. But I can't imagine doing this to him. I finally was able to get the help he needed. He's doing great now.

I have a child that had issues also - and I will agree in America it should not be as difficult as it is to get the help you need...it's very frustrating...I get that....BUT, I fought for her and eventually it works out...NEVER would I think of doing anything close to this...(other than at times I would have liked a separate room to go to! The prosecution now know that they have sufficient evidence to secure a conviction, so any plea deal offered will likely be nowhere near as good as the one he was offered....if they offer a deal at all. I wouldn't if I were them. Mind you, they'll be wanting to see what sentence the judge gives him, as that may well factor into their decision.

The son didn't have another room in the house, he wasn't able to operate a light switch , the door or anything else in that enclosure. He was surveilled in that enclosure captured in what? 21.000 tapes? They also locked him in there during the day and switched the light off in a windowless enclosure.He had not the autonomy to get food like the other children. There was little to no enrichment in this room and he had to relieve himself in a bucket. But you're right let's not judge premature let us just give them the same treatment they gave that child. Shouldn't be a problem right? Oh and I do care about the other children in the home but they obviously didn't because the thing you do when issues occur is getting appropriate help not locking one kid away.

He made a big mistake not taking the plea. There is no excuse for what happened to the child. He and his wife are going to get a taste of their own medicine for decades! The defense attorneys aren’t helping. Whether he was at a sports event with one of the kids or in Ireland, I can’t wrap my head around why both of them weren’t frantically looking for their missing son. That says a lot too.

After we were evacuated, my friend rang her mother to let her know we were ok. Then my friend told me to ring my own mother. I knew there was no point doing so, but I rang my mother anyway. She answered the phone and, as I had expected, she couldn’t have cared less.

Can't believe he refused the plea offer of 2 years. Even at this stage of hearing the evidence they've got (because it's not being shown to the public) and taking into account the defence admiitted in their opening statement the doctor stated the father's actions were not correct and could have been damaging to the child, does he really think he'll be found not guilty? The fact they basically dismantled the enclosure, removed the door and made the son a bed in another room kinda says it all IMO. They knew they were in the wrong.

I thought the same but i found videos on TikTok. It essentially is a windowless room that was built on one side of their garage. People keep calling the room a box. I guess it is if they mean no windows/a way to see outside. It was an 8x8 room. There are bedrooms in houses and apartments that same. So imagine a small jail cell except in jail they get better amenities than this kid got.

@@dandylion9998 no, 8x8 is far smaller than any room rental. it is functionally a closet. Everyone, think of your height, it's probably somewhere from 5 ft to 6'5" right? How long are your arms? Now if you laid down and stretched your arms and legs you would probably be as long as every wall in the room. That is NOT jail cell sized in the United States as far as I know. I live in a STORAGE CONTAINER and the SMALLEST ones on the market are 8x20.

Finally! A judge who doesn't allow defense attorneys smack! I really like that this judge rules this trial. Both defense attorneys aren't fighting for justice for the child... they are defending the 'reject of a father'... What kind of attorney does that? Answer: sick in the head attorneys with their own childhood trauma! Trials and the courtroom is nowhere to process your childhood trauma! Way to go judge!

She is allowed because she isn’t a witness in this trial nor does she have to be in her own trial. Additionally, a defendant is allowed to know all of the evidence against them, so this is all she’ll encounter.

Based on what I heard, mg experience, RF had Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), which is very common with kids that come from Orphanages and in Adoptions. It is a neurological and psychiatric issue that takes a lot of time, patience, physical and occupational therapy and just plain love to learn about and recover from. Locking in a room is not the way to handle it..

I find it interesting the parents state they were afraid of their child but they enrolled him in BJJ which is martial arts that is focused on submission holds and grappling. Why would they want him to become skilled in these tactics if they were physically afraid of him? It doesn’t make sense. I also pray for healing for everyone affected by this crime.

I mean ...we talked about recipes we tried to get our kids to eat....juggling all the extracurricular activities .....messy houses....and she said she also worked at her kids school as a substitute or class helper...just normal mom stuff while our kids did BJJ. I remember Tai being excited and happy on the mat...full of energy but fun and the sisters would be doing himework.
