One time there was an interview on the Jeremy Vine Show with a man who lived in a tent in a wood. Not by Viney himself, but by a reporter (I think it was that Tim on Cheese C). The thing is, this bloke lived in the woods literally _a minute_ away from where I was working. I had the mind-bending thought that, if I ran out the fire door right now, and across the rail bridge, I could see this interview taking place. And I felt kinda lightheaded and existential. Turns out this guy was homeless purely for the reasons listed in the vid: he just wanted to get away. He had family and £ problems fo sho, but these were secondary. Years earlier, I'd been mooching around this wood and I'd popped my head in his tent while he was out. There was a passport, a fancy pen and paper. I thought it was weird there was no books, though. You'd get stuck RIGHT in to a big pile of books, wouldn't you?
