Iv Been using mine now for a couple of weeks now, I practice for 20 minutes a day, you can get a lot of practice done in that time frame. You can really focus on your form without having to walk back and forth collecting discs. To me ,,,money well spent.

I can see disc sports expanding into the indoor golf video style like they have for ball golf. Even leagues. When our knees get too far gone to walk the courses it will be the next best thing to being there.

I would like to try that sock thing but in the meantime a moving blanket hung up a few feet past your release is great to work on timing w/o having to chase a disc. A net in the garage, a tarp (not as nice to the disc though - and loud!) all work.

Have you thought about making a bigger sock that can hold and allow you to throw an actual disc?
@discrehab38263 жыл бұрын
I honestly tried numerous variations. I. found the ball in the mit provided the “feel” I needed even it I was not gripping a disc.
@JaredMarvel Жыл бұрын
I tried a pillow case with a disc and it's a very bad idea, the disc swings around and smashes your forearm. If I went full force on my first attempt I probably would have broke my arm

Great video! My question is, are you holding onto the ball inside the glove each time you through it? Thank you.
@discrehab38263 жыл бұрын
Yes. I am holding it like I was going to pitch a fastball with my thumb and first 2 fingers. The momentum pulls the ball from my fingers like the disc should during a throw. Thanks for the question.

I like it. Market it for disc !

great videos. i saw you loop your ring and pinkie finger in the bag, how exactly are you gripping the weighted ball ?

I bought one to try, and so far I like the feedback of the loud thump on a good snap. This is missing from throwing into a net, plus even throwing into a net requires a fair bit more extra effort retrieving discs, taking time away from actually throwing and interrupting your rhythm. Have you tried this method for developing your forehand throw?
@discrehab38263 жыл бұрын
Yes. I found it equally helpful for forehand throws. I plan to start to make videos on common disc golf drills using the TAP mit. Stay tuned.

I like this idea. Thank you. I have been wondering while watching these videos if you do any left hand/body rotation training to not just rotate the same way constantly. I saw a video of Eagle the other day and for the first time noticed his throwing arm was significantly bigger than if other. From an injury perspective it does no seem like a good idea to just work the core in one direction. It would be great to hear thoughts on this.
@discrehab38263 жыл бұрын
That is something I have been playing around with and is a topic for a future video. I also play ball golf now and then, and wiffle ball with the kids. These swings are opposite rotational pattern as disc golf throw. Thanks.
why use the ball? Just get a mini or even a sturdy drink coaster and have something that more resembles what you're going to be throwing.
@JaredMarvel Жыл бұрын
then you miss out on the weight and the snap feedback which is the purpose of this training

Just ordered. It's been a couple of months. Have you seen results from using it?
@discrehab38263 жыл бұрын
Yes I have. My timing seems more in tune. Also after all the reps training with this I am not nearly as sore throwing 2 rounds per day anymore. Thanks.

No. I used a baseball in there to start. They also sell weighted baseballs as you progress. Thanks.

I bought this, and although the concept is good, the product is made of course material, really course, and your skin gets irritated very quickly. I found a long sleeve shirt with a thumb sleeve greatly reduced the irritation, imo the product should be constructed better, with appropriate materials, smooth to the skin where friction is highest.
@discrehab38263 жыл бұрын
I agree. I actually used an old hiking sock, cut a hole in it, and used it like an arm sleeve when I used it for longer durations. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Towel is a great option for warm up and some form work but won’t do the job for throw “conditioning”. Thanks for the input.
