This part of the game is SO IMPORTANT and players rarely focused on it!
But you can win matches you shouldn't with good communication and coming up with the right action plan!
Here is a great video for communication: • HELP Your Partner - Pa...
Communication should happen before the match, between games and even during the point! If you have watched World Padel Tour you will see how much talking happens during the point!
BTW we have a FREE TACTICS VIDEO available for anyone who wants it and you can find that here: thepadelschool...

This is a very underrated part of padel, thanks for covering it ! It's easy to get frustrated and start blaming your partner especially when you haven't done enough to work with them.

Great Video Sandy. Commumication is key and highly underrated at the recreational level. Knowing your partner is key to victory as well. Awesome points about feedback, always positive. I've have the good fortune of playing with a lot of strangera over time, and after a couple of games it is very easy to tell where they struggle amd where they are strong. So always play to your partner's strenghts and give them some.word of encouragement after each point. More often than not, if they feel you support them and regardless of the situation, you are enjoying the game, their game will improve over the coure of a match. We all make mistakes, we all make unforced errors. Just let them go and keep playing. Like Sandy mentioned, leave the training and critiques for training sessions. Keep it up Sandy. Closer to 50K now!

Mainly to do with communication with the brand and preferred using my previous racket.

How to deal with partners that are trying to ‘harvest’ every possible shot from the middle and partly from my side? As I’m lefty I’m most of the time on good position on my forehand volleys and yet the charge on my side and leave their corner exposed..

This sounds very familiar. 'Hey it's my forehand too' they seem to think...

You and your partner need to call your shots so each one knows who will get the ball. That avoids most arguments.

Good opponents keep playing their return ball to my partner, putting my partner under pressure and struggles in particular with pace of ball, and slice. I’ve tried to help with communication e.g saying let the ball come off the back glass before hitting the ball especially lob, also my choice of tactic involves more interception, or taking the ball that has been lobbed, but they don’t often move across to my side because they were coached that you stay on your side, and I’ve suggested they lob more to give time for recover. What tactics would you advise I could suggest to help them, and us as a team.

When you say your partner struggles with pace and slice the first thing I think it to try to keep the ball low on the other side - it is very difficult for your opponents to hit speed and slice when contacting below the height of the net...it also sounds like your partner needs a bit of practice to get confident with the glass.

Sandy, would you recommend 2 lefties playing together? Who should take the left side then, the best smasher?
@leonkoopman9204
@leonkoopman9204 3 жыл бұрын
I think the right position is best for the most attacking lefty. Because the player will have a more open angle to attack
@ThePadelSchool

Would only have 2 lefties if there isn't a better option (which there usually is)

When i play with a weaker player than me our opponent start playing all the balls on my team mate. We then lose points on them missing in different ways. I seldom get a chance to play at all. Often i lose such matches without hardly having touched the ball. What should we do tactically to get more balls to me so we can win?

The main problem I have playing with a new partner is language. Living in Spain means I seldom meet other English speakers at my level (low intermediate).

The main struggle is to estimate how dominant my new partner is in the middle and the communication when stepping in to defend the double glass
