I'm drawing for 6 mounths now following drawabox course and i can say that i'm very happy with my progress, even though i can't draw scenes or even a character right now. I think it's about to love the process and don't rush to anywhere. Thanks for the tips and your vision about improve as an astist.

loving the process is everything yes. It's important to enjoy it because the process makes the end result. If you put love and time into the process, the end result will turn out good!

I quit draw a box in like 3 days because it was so horribly boring. I only come back to it once like every couple months take one lesson because I can't like get through it. It's so boring. It's just like a diet if you think about it. If you can't stick to it and make it fun, it's never going to like do anything for you. I've taken other courses for art and I've improved way more and it's not boring .

@@williammclean6594 like any path that is worth its hard in the beginnig, although once you reach constructional drawing the rules turn natural and not so boring anymore. I think its really worthy but you need to stick to it for a while. 6 months ago i wasn't able to draw a circle and now im drawing beatiful plants and loving it

Hey blacksheep really glad to hear you are enjoying the process. This is key to let your enjoyment be one of your key guides. Not the only guide but one of the most important ones. This means, as someone pointed out, every course may not be for you. Some will enjoy what draw a box some won’t. That doesn’t mean the course is good or bad it just means it may or may not be right for you. The most important thing when it comes to courses is to have a goal and make sure that that course is leading you towards that goal in a way that is enjoyable to you. Look forward to seeing you along the journey!

@canilearntodraw2579 Hi sir I feel like I need to polish up on my fundamentals. Do you Have a course you recommend to people in general in which you really noticed an improvement in your observation and technical skill? Thank you!

The busyness of your artwork reminds me a bit of Kim Jung Gi. I also agree with your sentiment about emotion. I noticed when I learned to manage my expectations and enjoy the process, I could take pleasure from the process more so than the result. Also, when you were starting out, did you find yourself sometimes being more critical of your drawings but later coming back to them and realizing they weren't as bad as you thought?

Lol interesting that you would mention Jung Gi as that’s one of the persons that inspire me. Yes I have definitely come back to old drawings and had that experience. Sometimes I’m even like … wow I drew that. It’s amazing what a little time distance can do for your perspective.

great video homie awesome advice short and long term. I really like the idea of making your process also enjoyable. I know i can get to focus on achieving an end result and get frustrated with what my drawin looks like previously to the end haha.

Thanks for the comment. Sometimes I wonder if I’m enjoying the process maybe a little too much. Lol. There is so much to learn. I have to remember that doing the project is also a part of the learning process ☺️

Bro, Are you trying to broke the kim jun gi code? Anyway the amount of progress you made in more or less three years is insane! Congrats!

Lol. His works are very inspiring! The more I learn, the more it feels like I’m getting further and further away from how good he was. It’s crazy! Thanks for the feedback! I’m looking forward to seeing the future and enjoying the process in the present.
