Improve Gas MPG with AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant Gasoline Additive

I should give that upper cylinder lubricant a try, I love the PI additive, first time I tried the Amsoil PI, it works wonders.

I used one half of a bottle of upper cylinder lubricant to treat the 12 gallons of gas. Two weeks later, when I grabbed the bottle, I noticed most of it had evaporated. Once the seal is broken, it starts to evaporate.

Thanks Michael for sharing. I've never experienced the evaporation issue. I've also used the full bottle whether it was a small or large fuel tank. It's my understanding it works the same whether is just a few gallons or up to 25 gallons and was designed to use a full bottle each time. Please consider dumping in the whole bottle with each fill and roll.

You’re right. One of mine wasn’t even opened yet and I only realized awhile later that it evaporated and leaked out. Amsoil would not give me a replacement. They’re bad with returns and fixing things.

Great question Z. For best results you should add to your tank just before filling up. Then run it down to empty before adding any more fuel. May I ask. What is your fuel capacity?

I wished they made it in a squeeze bottle with measurements on the side. Most passenger cars only need half the bottle as it treats "25 gallons" per bottle. I feel its such a waste for most passenger cars to add the entire bottle, yet its difficult to only pour half because it flows so fast out of the bottle.

Good suggestion. I'm with yah. On the flip side, I have to wait until I've run a few miles to get below 25 miles when I fill up. Or, just make sure I never add more than 25 gallons of gas at a time. A slightly bigger or small bottle wouldn't be a bad idea. Thank you!

Great question. No. I wouldn't. I only use the Upper Cylinder Lubricant in gasoline cars and trucks. Stick with the AMSOIL Quickshot for the motorcycles, www.amsoil.com/p/quickshot-aqs/?zo=1649274. It works great for powersports and an gas engines that are not run regularly.

I use it on my triumph speed triple a few months now.. it runs smoother than plain gasoline..I use it for engine longevity since the euro 5 emissions standards have made the manufacturers making the bikes running lean on the fuel.. seriously I don't understand why it's only for cars! Bikes are direct injection too these days, same technology..

AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lube is some really good stuff. I'm glad to hear it's working well in your bike. I can't say that I disagree with you. The technology is very similar.

Looks like GMC didn't make it easy and there are several different engines for that model year. Therefore, you'll see a couple different oil filter options depending upon your particular engine. Here's a helpful lookup guide that I often use, www.amsoil.com/guides/?zo=1649274.
