Danny, you don’t understand what this one video just did for me. I was once a single handicap golfer. I stopped playing for a year or two, came back and I couldn’t even make solid contact. I was about to sell my clubs and quit golf. I took a video of myself, watched this video and now I am SMOKING the ball. Don’t think you’re just helping people’s golf game. Being able to strike a ball pure again really means a lot to me. I really appreciate it.

I agree’ after working on this again it’s really the best I’ve seen on KZbin’ I kind of forgot about this video and went down a KZbin rabbit hole for a couple of years and my strike went to pot ‘ I find this drill also helps me stop my over swing as I’m so focussed on the follow through’ thank you again ‘ I did comment on this way back in 2020 ‘but refound it and it’s really the best for me ‘ Much appreciated

I've been working on transition for literal years, trying to shallow the club and rotate through. And it's paid iffy, but I've been so focused on the backswing and transition that my release has gotten clumsy. I can't discount all that work I've done on transition and it no doubt is part of the reason why, but I have to say this drill was immediately transformative for me. Like nothing I've ever taken to the range before. Thank you!

This video changed my golf game this year! Just started playing again after 13 years and was almost ready to give up. Recorded my swing and the app I use sent me to this video. Just did what you showed today and I shaved 6 strokes off my game and was hitting 250-280 yards with a slight draw. I didn’t even recognize my own swing anymore, and the swing and follow through felt so good.

FINALLY! I've been searching high and low for someone in an instructional drill video with the same impact position that John had because that is exactly what I'm struggling with right now. I can still stripe the ball pretty well and only rarely suffer from a hook miss these days, but my impact position looks exactly like John's used to; back foot up on toe too early, scrunched up and arms pulling in at impact. I despise looking at my swing on video after practice sessions. Can't wait to take this drill to the range tomorrow and put this drill to work. Thank you so much, Mr. Maude! 🙏

Thanks, Danny. This is the single most helpful drill I've ever seen on KZbin. I suffer from the dreaded chicken-arm condition and after watching this video I went to the range and practiced slowly in the exact manner you suggest. By the end of 45 minutes or so I was hitting 3/4 swing draws with my 7-iron further than I'd ever hit anything with a full swing. Plus, I never, ever hit draws and tend towards fades/slicing. Really incredible, thank you!

Real weakness in my game. Been swinging in garden, no ball, all week 10 min a day with this drill. First chance to hit a ball for 9 holes today and what a transformation!! My fat strikes were so much better, most strikes weren’t fat and I seem to have added speed without swinging harder. Best coach on KZbin, I’d love to come for a proper lesson with my driver!! Thanks Danny fantastic content!! 🙇♂️

I'm so greatful to you for this lesson but also all the others. I've been struggling months and months trying to figure out why on earth am I stucked with this ugly "chicken wing" during the follow through. I went through tones of KZbin tutos but nothing. So many tentatives to explain why getting rid of this issue, but not efficient at all. And I found your courses, that is definitely helping me solving this chicken wing issue, but in the mean time helping me to hit the ball without hooking or slicing. Thanks, thaaaaaaannnks so much Danny ;-) (I'm a amateur golfer from Paris)

Good video. My Dad taught me to play, and I remember him saying, "Take the club back through this window and bring it back down through the same window to stay on plane." I realized that if I maintained my width, the wrists would cock naturally and the club would set at the completion of my shoulder turn. Much of the golf swing happens automatically without any manipulation on your part. My only swing thought in golf is: "Everything in Moderation, Keep it Simple, Less is Best"

First, THANK you! This was super helpful! I believe it was one of the final pieces to helping me get full extension through the strike! One thing that I’ve been working on is hitting out to the right. Think of it like hitting the ball with a flat face while it’s sliding out from you directly to the right. This isn’t happening but it’s what I’ve had to “feel” to get the right path! Nobody has been able to help me with this through the years. Now, with this final piece, I’m hitting it well and look like I have a good swing path! This was simply one of the best videos for anyone pulling in or losing power due to the breaking down and flipping. Thanks again!

hey Danny, used the rotation pre shot . Still hit some fat shots but thinking about rotating through the swing helped. 10 handicap and shot 77 this afternoon, which included missing about 3- 4-5 foot putts. I don't know who this guy is in this video with this tip but I have been struggling lately after shooting my two lowest rounds of 82 since I've been back playing 7 years ago. Just gotta stop trying to feel it and go back to the drill and feel that extension and see the knuckles down and I am back on point. Like you said, don't rush it but I wouldn't listen. Hi Danny, all the best from germany :D Love your way to teach and make things understandable I struggled last season, started from 11 now i am back at nearly 13 :( Poor Ballstriking with irons, thin, shankydoodles ets.. I practiced hours, get lessons and dont fixed it. I lost more than 10 yards that year with irons. And yesterday i found this older vid from you. I found out this year i started to lead the ball instead of "swing only". I practiced that drill today 1 hour and some faults are gone! More height, impact higher on the face (past i thinned often) better and more free release, crisper contact, also it helped for chipping, only with the idea club forward and "toe up". Also i got a better weigt shift and more powerful, balanced finish! Appreciate a lot!

Ahhh this drill is exactly what I needed. I’ve been chicken winging for so long and it really affected my distance. This drill made me feel the follow-through and eliminated my chicken winging. Thanks Danny!

Another cracking video Danny, play off 6 and this has probably done more for my ball striking than any other piece of instruction. Keep em coming!!

Best video to understand arm positions in golf swing that I've seen.

I have used this drill during my last 2 rounds, changed ball flight nice easy draw for irons, much higher ball flight with driver and the sweet draw. More distance of course. I have got to make a reminder card, the feel is not permanent in a couple of rounds. Luckily this video is in my saved library. Problem I don’t carry iPad every time I play golf 🏌️

John Simmons just brilliant, it’s great to hear how so many of you have found this useful

I still have this repeat nagging problem of when going for extra distance instead of relaxing I rotate around left leg. Meaning I don’t hit into a strong left side! Any drills to remove this action would be great. PS I have considered brain surgery😊

I've watched this a few times. Ready to take it to the range. I'm very hopeful this is going to fix my problems too. Like your client, I'm 6'1" 220 and haven't been ale to generate much power not to mention the hitting fat or thin way to often. Hope I can relate a success story soon!!

This is the best online golf lesson i have ever seen! It helped me so much with both consistency and speed. Thank you so much for sharing !!! One question: After doing this, my ball flight ended up being a "strong" draw , is there a tip to reduce this?
