I go to bed nearly at the same time, I wake up every day around 4:00am fully refreshed ( I eat only 3 meals a week, but that is another story) . Unfortunately your beloved Garmin has an algorithm which works with 7-8 hours of sleep. For deep sleep you do NOT need so much, unless you had a lot of food in your belly or a lot of stress or even both. Think about that coach before going through the numbers.

Thank you for taking the time to both watch and comment! Since the majority of people do get a minimum of 7 hours, I am comfortable with the algorithm that Garmin utilizes. The number of people that we see on a monthly basis that have gone the route of extreme - both food and exercise, end up sick, so I will continue to encourage more sleep and more deep sleep. Both health and performance metrics have improved every time someone focuses on both. Everything needs to be kept in context and perspective verses advocating extremes.
