Hey Jake! I am considering a x32 compact for my church, someone said it would be too much back and forth between the different banks, has that been the case in your experience?

Hey Ray! I totally get that. Honestly with the way I work with DCA’s I can typically set things up so that it’s not a major issue for me. But I totally understand that that may be an issue for some. The new M32R actually has a “spill” function so you can expand the fader bank over to the DCA side so you could have more faders to work with on that board. That’s my understanding at least 👍

We use a X32 Compact at Church and it does have the "spill" feature that Jake mentioned. You just press and hold for a few seconds the banks you want see and your good to go. I figured this out by accident and it's great because you can combine different banks, for example, bank 1-8 and your effects returns. I hope this helps.

@@luiselugo9713 You do not have to hold, just press two buttons at the same time... if you want 1-8 on left faders and 17-24 on right faders press 1st and 3rd button at the same time.

How can i record audio on the mixer to later go back and play with the eq and volumes like you do for demonstration

Hey Octavio! I record live into Reaper using the USB interface on the X32. My church is analog into the board so my Card Out is set to the local channels. In Reaper I record every channel one to one. To play it back from Reaper I set my reaper outputs one to one for all the channels I need. Then on the board I set my Card Out to Card 1-8, Card 9-16, etc. to cover the channels I'm using. Then I just run the main outputs into my Focusrite interface with the pads on and run that into garage band. Its not perfect, but its repeatable and sounds decent.

Stereo is significantly more effective.

@@OneAverageDanit could. Any mic for crowd mics are better than no mics at all. Do be sure to roll off those low and high ends
