same here, i was always a bit against private servers especially after nostalrius being shotdown before i could even hit 60 but turtle seems to be popular, fresh and with enough added extras while im levelling to keep it rewarding

Also to mention pfquest has an pfquest-turtle version which u can download which adds all the custom turtle quests to the pfquest addon. Make sure its a separate folder in your addons folder.

Do you mean normal pfquest wow folder in addons and then the extension turtle wow folder in addons? I have them both in my addons but for some reason a lot of the quests aren’t showing up on my map

@@michaelcampbell5769 You need both in your addons folder yes. Also make sure you see pfquest and pfquest-turtle in your addon tab before you login to that character. There could be other issues but try that first.

Turtle wow has been the most fun private server I have been on in years. The fact they add raids, new zones, add to the story and make the questing great shows the care they have. Questing and mobs. Not just spamming dungeons. It's great.

Imo to improve the experience one has to shift their focus from fast leveling to maximizing fun And for me that means deactivation automatic quest text and not using any quest addons Leveling will be slow but it makes much more fun to read the quests and stories and explore the world looking for quest objectives. There are so many new quests in turtle wow, you don’t have to accept every quest anymore and optimize your routes. Just accept those that seem interesting and might have a good story about them. This is exactly what I am missing on retail wow and other versions of wow but I feel this is the way turtle wow is meant to be played. At least for me, this is what improving the leveling experience means for me.

Full rested xp is about 15 minutes :) Theres also a macro you can find online that tells you how many bubbles you have, which caps at 30

Do you mean using tents? What about logging out in an inn? Is it more traditional rate like several days to get max if you log out in an inn? Maybe point me to where I can find this info if you remember where it might be?

This server has a dragonflight UI addon which is so nice. Especially since it adds the grid when your moving your frames. It’s amazing

He means if the group has a warlock they can summon the party to where the warlock is.

Great video! Direct and straight to the points :) I've been thinking of embarking on my own adventure in TurtleWoW, but I like to read up on the game beforehand and listen to what people think of the game. But that's kind of difficult right now as the forums are inaccessible. And while the addons page on the wiki is great, it's sorely lacking in information elsewise. Also choosing a class when the journey takes such a long time is difficult. I'm torn between hunter and shaman, what issues with the classes have been adressed in this game? Because I don't really feel like playing the same class as they are in the official classic era.

If you're conflicted, you might want to wait a bit until late August for the Karazhan patch, as every class will be getting major changes. They've expressed interest in revamping Survival Hunter into a viable melee spec, so they will probably be one of the biggest benefitters. Enhancement has had talents get shifted around so 2H weapons and Parry are baseline, Stormstrike is earlier up, and the capstone talent is a single-target Bloodlust, which is very handy and useful for the raid. Shaman will also likely get more changes in Class Changes 2. But if you want my advice, I would suggest leveling a Shaman up to 20 if you don't want to wait for Class Changes 2 (and then level further afterward to enjoy the changes while leveling). Shamans are in VERY high demand for raids, as they are the least played but offer fantastic utility with Windfury/Flametongue Totem.

It's essentially just a group finder. It doesn't teleport you to the dungeon nor' does it give any extra rewards, just helps you find people for each role.

HD models are a client side mod for vanilla. You can find it on Turtle WoWs fan-made wiki and on their forums. Goblins and High Elves are custom races in Turtle WoW. They have their own starting zones, quests etc.

Agree with mister Red, still on turtle forum you can download three data files for "hd" textures, it's replace mainly, new music, new models, new textures and cool new spell/buff animation. You put em at data folder of your turtle wow. If you want take a break just rename or move em outside of data folder, full "mod" It's like about 2 GB.

No it wouldn't. You cannot down-level. When you reach 0% on that exact level you just stop losing it further.

Nope. The server stays relevant since they don't scale gear up constantly like retail does. I recommend checking it out, because they keep adding new stuff quite frequently with every 2 weeks a small patch.

only a pvp server gives real immersion in the game, if you don't just want to spam dungeons, you enjoy world pvp, occasional pvp, adventures, meeting enemies in SV, fighting for territories, feel the progression of character development, you have to choose a pvp server. I have several characters on a pve server, and the pleasure of playing on telabim is incomparably greater. the pve server is boring, soulless, shallow, and all you can do is spam dungeons, which doesn't really translate into anything, because you don't feel your character's progression, because you just stand in the city and go to dungeons. the whole world is alive on the pvp server, and hc player's caravans are simply world champions!! only telabim.

yes, its run by a known scammer and gold seller, and administrated by his girlfriend. THey generate gold, characters and items to sell on gold selling sites. The community has to remain selectively blind plus it requires a certain level of willingness to go allong with the bootleg changes made and telling yourself that thats wow you are playing... that last one is here and there bcause that last one is what blizzard does themselves.
